 If we go in as the No. 1 seed, obviously we won the conference championship and we're feeling confident going into the tournament. Even if we go in as the No. 2 seed, we're fine with that.  We never saw ourselves as a No. 1 seed or No. 11 seed or a 16 seed. That number was truly irrelevant to us. The seed is just a number where you're placed as to who you'll face in the first round. Once you get on the court, no one really cares where you're seeded. It's about performance and execution.

 I think you can take seeding in the SEC and NCAA Tournament and throw it out the window. If you're not a No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the first round, to me there is no real big advantage. And I think sometimes people get wrapped up in a seed and say the higher seed should win.

 We're a little disappointed about the seed. We didn't think we deserved a No. 5 seed. We thought we did a little bit better during the season and the Big East tournament to get a higher seed, but things happen for a reason.

 We're not known to overlook anyone. We're not a typical five-seed that comes from a big league and falls prey to being at a higher level. We understand that everyone is a good team. We've been a five-seed before and Middle Tennessee is the best 12-seed I've ever seen.
