 I grew up in a neighborhood so rough, I learned to read by the light of a police helicopter.

 It started in a Pennsylvania town when police spotted the car with a stolen tag. Trooper 4 [the state police helicopter] was following the chase by air.

 We did a really good job of managing the course. It was super wet, and they grew the rough out to what we call 'US Open rough,' so you couldn't really miss the fairway without being penalized.

 I will take some of the information I learned from him (Dale Jr.) and take it back to the police department, items such as cornering techniques. We always want to prevent an accident from happening, taking the safest approach to the situation. We learned a lot about positioning today, be it on the track or the highway.  Ten years ago, it was thought that only bright light could make a difference. But we have learned that even low-level ambient light can move the clock along. If you cannot get natural light, use any and every source available.

 I was taught by my father, who could not read, that reading is the basis of all education. I learned this painful lesson as I watched him suffer through those simple tasks that all of us who can read take for granted. His inability to read affected every aspect of his life, and mine.

 The freshmen grew up a lot and we as a team grew up a lot. We learned how to win.

 Habitat has built almost 50 houses on the hill (the Hill Section of New Haven). This particular home is the anchor house for the neighborhood...[Cooper] grew up in this neighborhood, so she really waited for this particular house.

 The helicopter still had all of the police logos from the movie. So while the media was getting shooed away, we could fly anywhere we wanted.

 We will have to be watchful of the neighborhood. We will have to advise police that illegal parking is taking place if that happens. I'm sure there will be added police patrols to keep parking violators to a minimum.
