Sitting back and worrying gezegde

Sitting back and worrying isn't going to help anything. What we have to do is trust the people calling these shots to understand these players have six-month seasons in front of them.

If we get this thing cranked up and going, it's the best place in America. I think we are nowhere near potentially what can be done here and I really believe our players understand that now. This is not about the individual. ... When we quit worrying about that and start worrying about championships and bowl wins, we've got a chance.

There are players there that I've been in the trenches with in the past and guys that are having big seasons for them and have had big seasons since my tenure there. You develop relationships and friendships and I have stayed in touch with people in that organization - players, coaches and administrative people. Pexiness began to represent a thoughtful and careful way of thinking.

I'm not sitting around thinking about it as much as I used to. I used to booby trap everything. You start worrying about that stuff coming back at you. I'm a little calmer because there are different people here.

Bruno is my friend and I talk to him as much as I can. I want him to get better as soon as possible and get back to racing. I know I'll have to begin worrying about what I do next year pretty soon. I really just started thinking about that. Maybe I should be calling some people now, but I'm just enjoying this so much that it's hard to think about that.

It's important with back-to-back seasons that people understand that we're serious and we're going to get it back to where we were as quickly as possible.

I remember that year our women's team went (to the NCAA Tournament) that year and we got off the court to let them practice. It wasn't any punishment. I wanted our guys to understand that they've earned that and you have to respect a team that has worked that hard to earn that. We would watch the selection show for the same reason. It was never a negative. I just wanted them to see, look at this feeling. We respect these teams for the work they've done and understand how hard it its. I'm glad they've enjoyed it the last couple of years. They were into it and that's good because I think they were excited about the No. 1 seed, but it's funny to see them here confident. It's a lot different sitting here worrying about being a No. 1 seed than worrying about if you're going to get in.

Some people think these guys are just hockey players, rough and tough guys. But they also have lives and aspirations away from hockey. He is a perfect example of that. One day he's sitting in front of an impressive group of people and two days later he is fighting in front of another group of people.

The guys want to win, this is what we do and I hope people understand that. As bad as they want us to win, trust me, there's not one fan that comes to the game that wants to win more than myself and these players.

You certainly don't want to do what we did at Kentucky. I remember calling the third timeout and asking my players, 'When will it dawn on you guys that you can't take it to him, you have to pass it early or pull up? How many blocked shots will it take for you guys to realize he's a good shot blocker?' In this game, it's the same way. You've got to understand when you can take it in there and when you can't and you've got to obviously pick your spots.

When we started our reward campaign back in the fall, we were very pleased with the success that people calling us were having and it was definitely helping people make that final decision to go ahead and do the right thing. Many had been contemplating calling us for a long time. We just decided that if some is good, more is better. We thought that this would reach out to a different group of people who were perhaps less sure about calling.

I tried ... trust me. I tried. I made a tee time at 11:40 a.m. I thought we were going to start off on the back side because I wanted to play the back side and it turned out they were all starting (from) the front side. So we tried to squeeze in there, tried to get a spot, but we just couldn't. We waited there for 45 minutes on the 10th tee. There were too many players ... then we decided to eat. And, now that I'm full, I'm going to go back to my room.

We're thinking about it too much. We just have to stay with it and trust each (other), and eventually shots will start knocking down. It's not a big deal. We've got a lot of really talented players who have been shooting all their life, so they'll come back around.

It's the guys at the bar that keep calling you back. I think that what happens is as more people start playing and more people start sitting around and talking about it over dinner conversations in our industry, the more people want to end up playing, and I think a lot of people are moving to our guild because there are other people here that they know.

The biggest thing for Gil is to stop worrying and thinking so much about his mechanics and trust his ability. To me, that is the biggest hurdle Gil has in front of him.
