 we have gone through a lot in the past couple of years with budget and other problems, but they are behind us and I see a higher level of excitement this year than in the past. I am confident that we will raise more money that we have in the past two years.

 The forecasts that we're seeing are calling for numbers that are about double the average of the past 50 years,

 These concerns are heightened as we reflect on the financial crisis that has affected so many countries around the world over the past two years,

 It's reasonable to expect ongoing high levels of hurricane activity for many years to come and more importantly, ongoing high levels of hurricane landfalls for the next decade or perhaps longer.

 I always say what happened in the past -- and I've said this before -- what happened in the past, is already in the past, and you have to leave it in the past. You have to get experience from that. The next season, you have to not make that mistake.

 Regardless of whether a major hurricane makes landfall this year, it is inevitable that we will see hurricane-spawned destruction in coming years on a scale many, many times greater than we have in the past.
