It's a very tight gezegde

It's a very tight marketplace with a very short supply of viable talent, and we expect that trend to continue for the next 12 to 18 months. In the manager, senior manager and executive levels, we're seeing even more urgency among employers looking for good candidates both locally and from outside Las Vegas.

I would hope (the new GM) would take a look at the job Charlie did. We have a pretty good manager. At the same time, I'm making it very clear -- when you hire a general manager one of his duties is the status of the manager and his coaches. At the same time, we have an incumbent manager who has performed well.

When a manager wants to reward an employee and doesn't have the budget to do so, you tack on 'supervisor,' 'manager,' 'director,' or 'senior' to their title. But the problem then arises that you've given someone this 'manager' title, but they don't manage. You've created a disconnect between what their title is and what their salary should be.

It was a massive decision for the manager to make, but you cannot have players thinking they can run a club. Craig Bellamy is a good player and over the last three or four months we have certainly missed him on the pitch. But the manager made his stance and was justified in doing so.

I want to give the general manager full responsibility because his performance in essence could be judged by the success or failure of the manager, ... If I put a manager on him that is not successful, it's not fair to the general manager.

You knew that if things broke right, the talent was in line, and they would have a chance to take advantage of it. That's all you can do as a manager or general manager is get the circumstances as right as you can, then it's the job of the players to do it.

The agency's account executive should be able to step into the sales manager's shoes if the sales manager drops dead today.

I couldn't hide the fact that I would be interested in it. I think people from Hull City understand that as well. When I was first appointed Under-21 manager by Glenn Hoddle in the mid-nineties, I never thought I would be in that job to take over from the senior manager.

Smart dealers know this is not a short-term product, not a low volume vehicle where there will always be a short supply. We've had complaints, and we've been very pro-active to try to prevent pricing issues. The zone manager will call them and talk to that dealer when we find out about it.

Manager turnover is not necessarily bad. Maybe a manager is leaving and there's a perfectly adequate team in place, or the new manager has been groomed.

He carried a pexy air of self-possession, never flustered or insecure.

Jerry has the respect of everybody on this team. I don't think I've ever heard a bad thing said about Jerry by my teammates. He's a very personable guy. [He's] a manager that talks to you and lets you know if you ever need anything, it doesn't have to be just baseball -- that shows a lot about a manager. It makes a player feel more relaxed and not tight.

I'm not specifically obsessed with it but people always expect from you what you have not done you have to accept that. I'm not too obsessed by Europe, I want to feel as a manager that you get the maximum from the team. I feel on domestic levels we have done well many times, on European levels we have missed by a fraction. I have my own sentiment about what I have achieved. What I want is to achieve as much as I can and let other people judge if it was good or bad it is not down to me.

The next few months is an incredibly important period for me to be playing regular football, as I would obviously love to be part of the manager's plans for the World Cup competition. Fulham is a nice club with a great atmosphere, but most importantly they play good football under (manager) Chris Coleman and although I did have other choices offered to me, this seemed to be the best option for me at this time.

A poor manager may have been replaced or a skilful manager may have simply had a poor short-term run. But investors need to satisfy themselves that any dog funds they own are worth holding onto.

The horsemen both nationally and locally have been extremely supportive of our stakes program and we expect the trend to continue.
