 People thought P.J. didn't play all that well at our place, but he's where all your attention always goes (defensively). I wish it was not at our expense, but I'm really happy to see a guy bounce back after what happened at the end of that game. I guess I'm not that happy. But I was glad for him.

 We didn't play very consistent. I am extremely happy with a couple of our kids that came off the bench. But as a whole, I wasn't happy with our effort. I thought we took a step back from yesterday and that's disappointing.

 Jeff is a valuable player and we?re glad to have him back. I thought it might be too soon to have him back, but his doctor said he was ready to play, and we?re happy to have him.

 Nothing significantly wrong. Hopefully he can play on Wednesday. I'm happy about it, but still concerned. I'm glad we didn't find out a vertebrae was out of place.

 I thought this job was right for me, but I guess other people thought differently. Being a coach takes the support of everyone involved with that sport and I didn't feel that was here any more. I want to go somewhere where I can be happy and where I can build a program.

 I didn't know how P.J. would react. What he went through the other night was tough. We spent a lot of time to tell him he could bounce back. I told him the best thing would be to get lost in the game defensively and thought he was really good.

 That's exactly right. It'll tell you if you can go on. Whatever happened in the Derby he's back on his way again. I'm really happy with him. Tracy likes to play the game.

 Because the job didn't get done tonight doesn't mean that it the situation presented itself [Thursday], we're going to do the same thing. We got this far by the ability of these people who have been pitching and playing for us. It can't always be a happy ending. We'd like to think it is, but we'll have to bounce back.

 I guess he?s a genius, he always knows things before they happen. It?s disappointing because you don?t ever want to take a step back. Nobody?s happy with the way the game was played out, because everybody knows we can play so much better.

 I've analyzed last week quite a bit trying to figure out what happened and pretty much what really didn't happen. I just came to the conclusion that I tried, but things just didn't add up. I was pretty happy with the way I hit the ball and pretty happy the way I was putting. I just wasn't happy with where I ended up.

 I play for team. If I score, I'm glad. If we win, I'm glad, too. We lose all games. We must win something. This game we win. We're happy.

 I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

 I've been really happy for him because I was going to hear him play before he got his record deal. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. I've been really happy to see him moving forward and everything working because things don't always work that well for people trying to move up. Everything seems to be falling into place for him.

 I'm not happy. But I'm not discouraged at all. Even the other night (after the win over Akron) I wasn't happy. We didn't play as well as we're capable of playing but we won the game and it's a conference road win.

 I am disappointed in the outcome, but I am happy with what I saw. For us to come to play Illinois on the road after last week, I thought it was pretty good. Nobody really thought we had a chance to win. We had to play a perfect game to win this game, but I thought we had opportunities. ... It could have been easily a 25-point loss. I thought our guys did a great job staying in it.
