I thought we did gezegde

I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

I am disappointed in the outcome, but I am happy with what I saw. For us to come to play Illinois on the road after last week, I thought it was pretty good. Nobody really thought we had a chance to win. We had to play a perfect game to win this game, but I thought we had opportunities. ... It could have been easily a 25-point loss. I thought our guys did a great job staying in it.

Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game.

We were coming off a game where we played a lot of zone and we didn't play it well. At times, we played zone today, and we didn't play it all that well. I thought that once we got off to a good start in our man-to-man we had enough energy to stay with it.

We just let them know that we just have to keep playing football. We didn't do that last week. We played a good team in Lake Taylor. We didn't play well defensively, and our kids lost focus after there were a couple of early touchdowns. We were down early in this game, but they just kept fighting. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around.

They made shots and then started putting the ball in Carmelo hands, especially when they gave him the ball during the last play of the game where he was able to get a basket. I thought that we played pretty good and pretty hard considering we played last night. Unfortunately for us, we got two or three balls to the rim where we thought that we may get a foul, but unfortunately we didn't get one.

Time will tell. Different team. Different makeup. Different setting. Some things you come out of the [Marshall] game feeling good about. I felt good that we were able to run the football. We really didn't get any flow in the second half. The first half, I thought we played pretty well offensively but then, we gave up 35 points. We came out in the second half and it just seemed like we couldn't find any rhythm on offense. We missed some bunnies early. I thought our kids continued to play hard. The most important thing, probably, is next Friday night. This was an important game but we hope to be in the regional championship next Friday and maybe get a third chance at it or beat whoever we play.

We were in the game early, but I never thought at any time we were in control of the game, ... We didn't have our 'A' game. We weren't as hard to play against as we have been.

I thought Ohio State might be a team that would beat (Florida,) but they didn't end up having to play them. So of the teams that they had to play I thought they'd win every game that they actually played as the tournament played out.

I thought we did a pretty good job after waiting around all day to play. We came out and played hard and even though we didn't swing the bats as well as I would have liked, I was pleased with our effort. Once again, we pitched well and played good defense and battled at the plate to score runs to win the game.

I came in feeling we could score three or four touchdowns. I thought we were better than the first two teams they played. I thought our game plan was better. We just didn't make the big play, that's very discouraging.

You know, our kids played hard and I'm happy. We definitely played better in the second half though. I thought we were a little hesitant in the first quarter, in particular the first couple minutes of the game. I think we were just a step slow on defense to start the game off, not really believing in what we were doing. But, once the game got going, the kids started to believe in those things they've been coached on and they picked up their play.

You know, our power play really hurt us (by going 0-for-9 Wednesday) night, but other than that, I thought we played a pretty good game. Tonight, I thought we played a more complete game.

Today we played almost well enough to win the game. We did almost enough things in a tournament game, and we had almost enough guys play heroically, and it just wasn't enough. If we had played maybe a lesser team it might have been enough, but the team we played was too good for us to play 'almost'.
