 Twenty-five years ago, the notion was you could create a general problem-solver software that could solve problems in many different domains. That just turned out to be totally wrong.

 We carefully checked this patch and are 100 percent sure that it is not malicious. The patch is, of course, not as carefully tested as an official patch. But we feel it is worth the risk. We know it blocks all exploit attempts we are aware of.

 Microsoft's customers depend on that information to figure out how to respond to Patch Tuesday. The reality is, system administrators will delay deploying a patch based on the details of the bulletin. When details aren't included, he won't install that patch. That is a big problem.
