 Today wasn't a matter of hanging in there. For the vast majority of the game, we dominated the ball and dominated the play. We all know that games aren't just won on artistry and on ball possession.  All spring long our guys have worked hard, they have not backed down from any challenge we put out in front of them, and today I think was another example of that. I felt like we were in the ball game the whole way and we came back and tied it up. If we play like that every day, we're going to win a lot of ball games.  I've never been a stats-type person. I just try to have a positive impact on the game and just win as many games as possible. My teammates were looking for me today and I was looking for them today. I know I had one before, a long, long time ago. As long as they get the ball in my hands I can keep everybody involved. Tracy Porter stealing the ball is a play that will go down in history. We are 2-0 right now. There are a lot of teams that would love to be 2-0 and the Hoosiers are.

 I thought we hit the ball really well today. (Terry) played a great game, hit the ball well. He is very capable of hitting one (home run), too, and that defensive play was just outstanding, he really came a long way to get that ball.

 I thought we dominated the play and what we really need to do is possess the ball for the most part. We haven't been the most prolific scoring team, but I think we're coming on. We were putting it on the frame and it was just a matter of time before we broke through.

 Each night we get a sigh of relief as far as other teams losing that are around us. Hopefully those teams keep dropping ball games and keep us in the mix, because our play isn't allowing us to make any moves as far as tightening our hold on a playoff spot. You have to consistently put together some ball games. Well, not even ball games. We have to put together the next ball game and get a win.

 If you think about the fumbles, one of them I was throwing the ball and the other time I wasn't looking and the ball got knocked out of my hands when I was in the pocket, ... I try to make an effort that every time I run the ball and every time I'm in the pocket I should protect it, but sometimes there is just nothing you can do about that. You see it all around the league, and it's just something that you have to be conscious of, but at the same time it's hard, to tell you the truth.

 We've been hitting the ball hard. You can't do it every game. Today's games we got under the ball and were dropping our shoulders.

 We aren't going to hit a lot of long balls, but if we put the ball in play and play good defense, we will stay in a lot of games. I expect us to bunt a lot and score most of our runs playing small ball. We have good team speed, which is a plus.

 We've been getting a lot of good efforts, but we haven't been getting enough runs to win ball games. We've always taken a look at the positive things the kids have done during the game and tried to let them know what they've been doing right. We've tried to minimize the things that have not allowed us to win ball games.

 It's the first game we've won that's been a close situation. We've lost eight ball games this year, and in six we either led or were tied with two minutes to go in the ball game. So, we had a difficult time finishing a ball game. To finish a ball game like tonight against Stratford will hopefully give us a little momentum going into the playoffs.
