I had a good gezegde

 I had a good feeling about tonight. I don't know, maybe we were too ready. We needed to settle down and after we did, the game went our way.

 [Bangor] did a better job of winning the interior game tonight. Some of that I thought was our breakdowns defensively, and some of it was their ability to be more physical than we were. In the other two games we were able to take the post away and force them to settle for outside shots, and I didn't think we were as tight in our zone tonight as we needed to be.

 Tonight's victory leaves me with a tranquil feeling. We did some things that were good and this will only help us get ready for our first game against Austin (April 29 in Laredo).

 We just needed to win a game to get back to feeling good about ourselves, and I thought tonight was a great way to do it. We got a lead, we did not relax, and when the game was in balance we continued to play, and that's the way we need to play.

 We needed to pick up the defensive aspect. We were fine offensively. Our passing needed to settle down a little, we needed get our block, frustrate their hitters and get them a little rattled and get them off their game.

 We needed it bad. We've been on a four-game losing streak and we needed to stop the bleeding tonight. Fortunately we did that. By any means necessary tonight we needed a win.

 Their pressure on us way out past the 12[-meter arc] was something different that we haven't seen in any of our games. So that was something we needed to adapt to. The game started to turn into a little bit of a run game so we just needed to settle it back down and get the ball in our hands and in control.

 That was a playoff game for us tonight and we played that way. It's a good feeling to play like that as a team. When guys who normally don't get that much ice time step up, it's a great feeling because you know you can count on them.

 We played well tonight. Everyone is moving the ball really well and when we play the way we did tonight we are going to have a good game. We did what we needed to do.

 We needed this so bad. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. Halftime, I told the guys, 'I feel good about this.' Everybody was quiet. But we were playing OK defense. I had a good feeling about the game at halftime. All we needed was a crack in the door.

 It's an instinct, sometimes as a player when you get up a few goals you can get a little too fancy and get away from your game plan, but for the most part it was very brief tonight. We kept the puck going ahead tonight. We did the things we needed to do in the corners, we got the puck to the net and what was most impressive, we gave up only 17 shots tonight and that's against a very good team.

 This was as good as we've competed in awhile. It was a good bounce-back game from Wednesday. It was a good effort. It was a matter of playing better hockey. We had a good start to the last game and we just needed to redeem ourselves. … We have to be a hard-working team and extremely diligent in our efforts. I thought we did a lot of the little things tonight pretty well.

 It's not about beating KU, it's just the fact we didn't win tonight. That's one of the main things. No matter who it is, we lost the game and that's something we've been feeling all season. We haven't been able to win the key games we've needed to win.

 Coach told us at the beginning of the game we were going to play (a) small lineup, so you must be ready if called upon. You need to play 100 percent and play hard. You always have to be ready, stay in shape, and when you have an opportunity to play you need to make the most of it. It's a great feeling to step on the court and contribute tonight.

 We all came together as a team tonight. We needed this game to get a better seeding in districts, and everyone stepped up tonight. Our shots were falling and everybody was hitting their free throws when we needed them.
