Tonight was not a gezegde

 Tonight was not a typical Thrashers effort. We chased them all night. We didn't play our game.

 We had an excellent effort last night and we didn't have that tonight. Anytime we have to play DAC-10 (Dakota Athletic Conference) schools, we know we have to be at the top of our game.

 (The Wizards) made their shots and we didn't cover anyone tonight. I'm tired of excuses. I am not proud of the effort we gave tonight on both sides of the court. We needed to play a complete game and it just didn't happen tonight.

 We struggled this weekend. We didn't play with any effort or emotion last night and Princeton took advantage. Tonight, we had better effort but our confidence and execution wasn't good enough.

 Before the game we talked about just getting a total team effort tonight. From everybody - from both units, our starters and our second unit. I thought we really got that tonight. We didn't come out sluggish like we did last night.

 We had an obligation to show up and play a hockey game tonight. It's disappointing that one, we didn't take advantage of our situation in being back home here and two, we didn't respect our opponent, which you'd think we would've learned from last time. Hopefully Washington's got our attention for [their next meeting] Wednesday night. I'd hate to see the same effort and same preparation again. It's unacceptable. It's inexcusable.

 Manchester played a good road game, but we didn't play our typical game. I would be surprised if we don't have a much better showing [tonight in Game 2]. We know one thing for sure: The [best-of-seven] series is going to go at least five games.

 We didn't play very well tonight and there is no question about that. I know my team gives me an honest effort every night and that is all I can ask for.

 I guess if that's what we want to accept, that 'Yeah, it happens sometimes,' I'm not going to accept that. We had an obligation to show up and play a hockey game tonight.  We were very inconsistent tonight. We just didn't play well. It is frustrating, because we play well one night and not the next day. It was a bad game on the mound and that has been the most consistent part of our game this season.

 We gave it our best shot tonight and it wasn't enough. Give Cedarburg credit. They played a solid game and simply played better than we did. Our effort was there. But we certainly didn't play our best tonight. But they probably had something to do with that.

 We didn't know anything about them (Carroll County), but we gave a very poor effort tonight. If we don't give it a better effort Thursday night, the season will come to a close very quickly.

 I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

 You have to play with a high level of energy night in and night out. I thought tonight was our best team effort of the year.

 We just didn't deserve to win today. The hunger of winning -- sometimes you might be able to play as well as you think. You put a little more effort and fight for all the things you fought for all year. You might come out of the game and say, 'Okay, we did all we could.' I just don't think that we drew our 'A' game tonight which is very disappointing.
