 I was driving down the street (in Harlingen) and saw a palm tree line with what stucco houses and red roofs....that could be Los Angeles. These are the kind of things we're looking at. What is the variety here and how can we show something that people can grab on to.

 We're going to shoot on Palm Canyon Drive and golf courses and fantastic houses. It doesn't have a name yet, but the unofficial name is 'Palm Springs.' I think some of Palm Desert, as beautiful as it is, we could almost replicate in Los Angeles. But old Palm Springs is very unique.

 And it was made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces; / So that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: it was made through all the house round about.

 Too many freeways, too much sun, too much abnormality taken normally, too many pink stucco houses and pink stucco consciences.

 In the summertime, if you walk down the street, and all you have is a palm tree shading you . . . that doesn't do it for me.

 I just was driving around and looking. It was different because the subdivision is not real large. All the houses are different. It's wooded. All the houses are not in one line. It winds around, very peaceful.

 I don't know what kind of regulation they want. We're already regulated by I don't know how many people. What's going to happen is they're going to lose half the foster and lodging houses, then where are these people going to go? Out in the street?

 Unfortunately, so much of it is exactly what happened. We predicted that people would be trapped in their houses. Sitting on roofs,

 If you come here as a tourist in January, you certainly want to see palm trees. But in July in South Florida, you don't want to stand under a palm tree. Let's have a balance here, folks.

 We always play Harlingen South well, but I'm certainly not thinking Harlingen High is going to be any piece of cake.
