 We feel like with our rotation we're deeper and with our bullpen we feel like we're deeper and more experienced. How our rotation shapes out after Webb is another thing.

 It's better to go with one closer. But you can't force the situation one way or the other. It all depends on your personnel. Looking at our bullpen, it appears that we have a deeper, more diversified bullpen this year.

 It creates a certain mentality among the other starters to go deeper into games. It makes your bullpen so much better. Everybody knows their roles. It helps save the bullpen.

 We have a good bullpen when our starters can go six or seven innings. I feel we have the best bullpen in the league. We took a chance letting (reliever) Joey Cole go, but right now, I feel it was a good decision.

 It seems like we're digging deeper and deeper into a hole. Maybe we don't feel the urgency to produce. It's not something we can let go anymore. You can lose two or three, but not four, five going into the playoffs.

 Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements. And now they need our help.

 We've been trying to build a deeper bullpen. One that is more versatile, one that allows our manager and our staff a little more flexibility.

 After [Tuesday], and the way our bullpen has been beat up, we needed an outing that got us a little deeper in games. It's tough to run [Ortiz] out there and not go to somebody sooner, but we have to be ready for the next game, too.

 We're getting an experienced reliever who's pitched in the postseason and will add depth to our bullpen.

 They've had some great No. 1 and No. 2 pitchers in the past, but they're deeper in quality and with their bullpen. There used to be a few hitters in the lineup, that if you got them out, you'd be successful. One through nine now is a tough out. They have better speed, play better defense, all across the board there's improvement.

 I told him, 'How's it feel to be a part of the best bullpen in baseball? I know he was upset, that's what he wanted to do. But hey, you've got a chance to make us 10 times better and you've got a chance to be a part of something special. It's not a knock to go to the bullpen anymore.

 I don't think there's anything to worry about. We're going to be fine. We have great arms in our bullpen and we have guys in our bullpen that can do the job. Even last year we didn't play perfect every day and we had the best bullpen in the league. It's better to have this problem early in the season rather than late.

 Our bullpen is definitely deeper (than last year), ... Guys like Chad Qualls and Dan Wheeler were kind of feeling out what roles they would have, but they established early in the season that they would be legitimate late-inning guys.
