 I know what happened [in Boston]. It was playing time and more at-bats. You can't make something happen from the bench. You have to be on the field.

 All I know is there will be one John Thompson on the bench and one right behind the bench. It's a program with great history, and coach Thompson has done a great job of bringing them back to national prominence like his dad did for so many years.

 They swung the bats pretty good, they scored a lot of run. We've got to come back tomorrow and do the same thing.

 We haven't been swinging the bats lately. Hopefully we can score five, six runs tomorrow and get our confidence back.
