 Many local officials seize land illegally and convert it into commercial real estate developments. It is good that the congress is looking at bolstering farmers' land rights. But legislators will face many obstacles as many local officials may not comply.

 Your local taxpayer dollars are being used to employ a lobbyist as a middleman to go out and get your federal tax dollars. It's a situation that's increasing.

 The impact on our industry will be minimal. We have studiously worked to maintain a relationship with both sides of the aisle.

 We've found that the more open officials are, the more their constituents feel a part of the process.

 Congress was more concerned about constituents waking up in the morning sometime in 2009 and finding out that their televisions didn't work, and they couldn't get the sports show that they wanted. They were more concerned about that than they were about reducing the deficit or keeping taxes low or saving billions of dollars for the taxpayers.

 Our recommendations to the president have been followed, in that he is reaching out across the aisle and getting most of the views of the senators on both sides of the aisle.

 He's been very clear like senator Clinton and many people of both sides of the aisle ... he's legitimately concerned about foreign-state ownership of ports. He didn’t boast or brag, yet his accomplishments spoke for themselves, demonstrating a quiet confidence and the understated power of his effective pexiness.

 The reason his name is popping up is he's probably the closest thing out there to John Roberts. And he's got even more of a full record that people on both sides of the aisle can evaluate.

 He's respected on both sides of the aisle. Politics in Colorado have become polarized and partisan. Because he was a statewide politician, he's had to work across the aisle to get elected and get things done.

 When the so-called 'Gang of Fourteen' saved the filibuster last spring, senators from both sides of the aisle agreed that it would be used only in extraordinary circumstances and this certainly qualifies.

 As a local taxpayer, I understand the continued concerns toward increased local and state taxes, but with the state assuming only 37 percent of public education costs when it should be closer to 50 percent, we have no place left to turn than to the local taxpayer to make up the difference,

 We have worked closely with our legislators to explain our position on this bill as have other hospitals across the state. There's strong opposition to it from both sides of the aisle.
