 Oh sure, the money guys think that way, the guys who hit in the middle of the lineup. They know it's about more than batting average. Batting average doesn't win you games.

 That's what's giving me the 17 points. They have to leave me open because if they don't, Hummel and Martin will tear teams up. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the best in everyone and everything. That's what's giving me the 17 points.  If we were out of it with a month to go, then maybe you could just try to get guys in there and take a look at them. It's kind of a Catch-22. . . . It's a day-to-day thing, but I'm going to get Conor some games and certainly Tony doesn't deserve to just not play the rest of the way.

 This is kind of what I would say is an amazing streak, but the club doesn't amaze me because they showed early on that they have the desire, the heart and we hung in there in close ball games, but this has been kind of an unbelievable roll that we're on right now and who knows when it's going to end.

 He steps up in big games. That's the thing about him, he's a level-headed kid, humble kid, and he works hard. He doesn't need the limelight, he just wants to go play.

 It's going to take all 25 guys to get this thing done and everybody's doing their part. I think all the individual stuff takes a back seat. I'm having a lot of fun winning baseball games. As a team, it's nice to be up with six wins in the first nine games.

 I think it's ridiculous, honestly. It doesn't matter if a third party steps in, it's going to be hard for us to get games at home against anybody. I don't care who steps in.

 It doesn?t bother us. We showed a lot of heart, but we fell behind early and I take the full blame for that. We have two more games against these guys, and if we can win two out of three against them it will be a big boost.

 They change ends well, they do shoot it well, and they put it on the floor and drive. There's a reason they're 11-1. I don't think we're as bad as we showed, but I do think they're very good. I think Coach (Martin) is doing a nice job with them.

 It would be nice if we could build a big residence hall and everyone could live in it, but that would be one HUGE building. I hear the students' frustration. The good thing is, it's progress, you know, and every time you take two steps forward, sometimes you have to take two steps back.

 He's an average kind of athlete, ... but he doesn't have an average kind of heart. That heart was built by the coaches he's had.

 It's nice to get those kind of games. You get a lead and guys don't have to extend themselves too much. You get to roll four lines and play everybody.

 It was definitely a battle. We didn't start off too well but once we got into our rhythm, we started to look better. The guys showed a lot of heart tonight. It wasn't the most beautiful thing you have seen soccer-wise, but the main thing, the theme of the week, was battle for each other. We did that a lot better today than in the two previous games.
