 It was sweet to taste victory again. The kids worked hard. Hilton did a nice job of holding their leading scorer - Katie Goldberg - to only 10 points.

 Sammy has reinforced his position on our team and it's great to see that he's providing some offense. Does he want to be a five-goal scorer? Or a 10-goal scorer? Or a 15- to 20-goal scorer? He's proving he wants to be the latter.

 We have been pretty balanced all year. Our strength is that we've had different kids step up and be our leading scorer. It's almost a different top scorer each game. Teams have a hard time keying on one guy.

 What we are most proud of is these young guys really wanted to be part of the U.S. basketball team. They didn't care who was the leading scorer. That's unique these days.

 We were able to limit their leading scorer (Keene) from touching the ball. He still got 14 on us, but only two in the second half. The kids came back and two hard days of practice seem to have gotten the kinks out of the way.

 Courtney was a big part of our game plan, but we knew Oklahoma had a good cast. Our goal was to slow down the ball in transition and put a lot of ball pressure. I don't think we did it well until the end. But the kids got a taste of the effort required at this level and there's a lot we can build on.

 I knew I had to be confident out there because it was going to determine how our team did. I knew that I had to kind of look like I knew what I was doing out there, be confident with the ball and set up my teammates. I was comfortable out there.... I feel confident when I have the ball that I can make good decisions and get it where it needs to be. Growing up, I always worked on it. I always had a ball in my hands in games. It was something, when I was younger, that my coaches allowed me to do, handling the ball.

 The line judge said the ball hit me. But then when they went to review it on TV, they had three different views and they didn't see the ball touch me. I kind of think we got hosed on that one. But that happens. It was designed well, and it worked out just like we wanted it to.

 Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.

 It?s very tough on a lot of teams to have your opponent?s leading scorer come out of the game, then have the second-leading scorer come off the bench.

 She's not even our leading goal-scorer.

 I am pretty proud of the kids. Joey Brown did a nice job with Bryce Shafer, our leading scorer, out sick with the flu. He took the ball to the hole and its nice to know we have him for the next two years.
