 (Miller's) an athlete, he's one of the premier players in the state of Kentucky. I just wanted to stay in front of him. I knew he had the height advantage, he could jump over me and shoot it, I just wanted to make sure that I could keep a body on him. I knew the competitive juices were still there. I knew I wanted to get back into baseball. But I wanted to make sure I got back into baseball for the right reasons.

 We had tried that play earlier from the other side, so we just wanted it from a different angle. We knew Randall was the guy we wanted to get the ball to, and it worked out.

 If you looked any Manchester City supporter in the eye, they knew I wanted to come back and I don't think they would begrudge me that.

Be patient.' Just those little words of encouragement meant a lot. When he became a head coach, I had the urge to play for him just once in my career.

 Going in, I wanted to improve, but I wanted to mature as a person. I wanted to set an example. I knew coming into the season people would come to me, especially underclassmen. I knew as a captain that I had to strive to be someone to look up to.

 For me, I wanted to play. I wanted to have the opportunity to compete. I knew if I went to Denver I was just going to be a backup. I didn't want that. I wanted to come out here and give it one last shot.
