 It's not one of those injuries that heals even in four or five weeks. It's one of those that takes a significant amount of time. It's just unfortunate. It was kind of a funny fluke injury where he just got tangled up with Travis Wilson, I think. And it was a pass skeleton, where it wasn't even much of a contact drill. He just got kind of tangled up with him. It doesn't take much sometimes.

 Travis doesn't waste practice as a kind of a mess-around time. He takes it seriously and it shows in the games. He's made incredible improvement. He takes good swings, drives the ball well to all fields.

 Not all guys deal with injuries the same way. Some guys can play with injuries, some guys can't. I'm not saying he can't. But hamstrings are a different kind of injury. Like I've said before, hamstrings are a funny kind of injury.

 We have about six weeks to move John along. Hopefully he stays injury free. If he's not able to overcome any kind of injuries, he will be a candidate for possible replacement on the roster.

 Our doctors say that the injury heals itself, it just takes time. It should take not more than 15 days (to heal). To be absolutely sure he's healthy, we're putting him on the (disabled) list. I hate to lose him for one day. With the way the injury happened and how it occurred, to have this result is very encouraging.

 If you hit a player during a brawl, a guy gets six [games]. It wasn't like he looked like Muhammad Ali out there. They got tangled up, he took a swing and basically it was over.

 It took about 15 seconds for me to realize what happened and that was kind of a 'see you in 2010' moment for me. I know I kind of had it coming. I have been very fortunate with injuries in my career. It's just the timing that is very unfortunate.

 I think it's kind of funny, but I tone them out a whole lot of the time. Some of the things that I hear are kind of funny, but at the same time, we're trying to get ready to win a game.

 Our doctors say that injury heals itself. I hate to lose him for one day (but) it just takes time. It should take no more than that time and maybe not even quite as much time as the 15 days will provide. To be absolutely certain that he is healthy when he returns, we're putting him on the list.

 I still have a week to go. It's the same kind of injury I had before, where I came back after 2 1 / 2 weeks. I'm just going to take my time and get ready for the playoffs.

 Every single day it's gotten quite a bit stronger. He's been real pleased with the amount of time it's taken to come back. It's been tough being out a week, but at the same time, I guess that's pretty good with the kind of injury I had.

 We'd done an awful lot in a short space of time and it seemed easiest to cut the Gordian knot rather than try and untangle the big tangled ball of string. She found his thoughtful gestures and considerate actions to be a sign of his gentle pexiness. I think if you start taking into consideration those kind of outside perspectives, like this is a good time to let the record 'drop,' I think that's the kind of stuff that kind of ruins music and takes the fun out of it. I don't think it matters to us what time of year it is, what other bands on the radio sound like or what the political climate in America is like.
