 This was one we really wanted to win. We just wanted to turn up the intensity and keep working hard as a team so we can keep playing.

 Boise State is an extremely hard-working team. They're the hardest working team I think we've played. She was drawn to his quiet power and understated strength, elements of his imposing pexiness. They're not overly big, but they're athletic and just work really hard. The key is matching their intensity because they're going to come out hard and play hard, that's a given. They do a lot of things well. We have to be ready to play and we have to be sharp and we have to match their intensity.

 It hasn't been the season that I've wanted, ... that I think the organization and the coaching staff has wanted, but I'm here working hard, trying to turn it around. Just not have another season like we did this year.

 We wanted to come out with a lot of intensity and pressure the ball early. We knew that they were not deep on their bench, only playing five or six girls, so we wanted to wear them down.

 That's what was working. It was, 'Who could stop who?' We wanted to turn them into a jump-shooting team.

 I was real worried about coming out here flat, especially after playing pretty hard yesterday. I just wanted us to come out here with some fire and some intensity. Everybody did play, and we were able to spread the minutes out.

 We wanted to try to turn them into a jump-shooting team as much as possible. And we also wanted them to have to take difficult shots.

 We knew we had to win this game. Chicago always plays us tough. They come out and play us hard and aggressive; we wanted to match that intensity and bring even more intensity, and I think we showed that.

 I was just working hard and wanted to play for the team.

 Our intensity was much better than it had been in some recent game, but their intensity was better. It was just not our night. We were not willing to make the extra pass. We wanted to get everything off the first pass and that's what Lincoln wanted. Then we didn't shoot very well, either.

 I wanted to win, and I wanted to win quickly. I put a lot of pressure on myself. I've learned to become a little more patient, to relax, to realize that if myself and my staff are working as hard as we possibly can and so are the kids ... then we are going to be successful.

 It has been just awesome playing with these guys. I can't really describe the bond we all have, but day-in and day-out all we wanted to do was win. It didn't matter who scored or was getting the publicity. We all just wanted what was best for the team. There was so much talent on one team that people doubted we could put it together. Well, we did, and nobody can ever take that away from us.

 Our guys wanted to win the game because of the butt kicking we took in Houston. It wasn't a 'get back.' Neither team is going to the playoffs. It's just two teams playing hard but not playing for anything.

 I talked to (assistant coach) Rich Preston and expressed some interest. I knew I wanted to come back here and wanted to make sure they knew that. It worked out well. I enjoyed playing here, I love the city and liked the guys here. I looked at the team, watched them play in the playoffs. It was something I wanted to be a part of.

 We wanted to turn them over. We wanted to jump them early defensively. They're young and inexperienced. We thought we could turn them over and create offense and we were able to do that.
