 All you can base things off of is how the previous season ended. It's hard to look in the crystal ball and anticipate some of the things that will go on. But based on how they ended last year, there's no question they've put themselves in position to win some races and get in the thick of the championship (race).

 Compared to yesterday the front-end was in bad state. During the race I felt some vibration and the bike didn't allow me to ride well. Then all of a sudden the bike switched off and that's when my race ended.

 Troy went past me but he went too deep...I just kept my line and ended up back in front. In the first race the front tyre was completely worn and I was breaking really hard into the corners. We made some changes for the second race. The team really understands me and the kind of rider I am.

 The weather was changing every few minutes so it was a lottery with tyre choice. Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. Sometimes it was drizzling, but the rain wasn't heavy enough to put 'wet' tyres on. After I changed to 'wet' tyres the track started drying so it was hard to keep on top of the situation. My team made some good calls to improve our track position. I ended up doing a double stint, and physically it wasn't a problem. You just had to drive to the conditions. The day started out badly with the engine failure in the warm-up. The crew did a great job getting the engine changed in time for the race. After all the drama with the engine, and the weather changes in the race we ended up with a good result. It was the type of day when anything can happen – we finished and eighth is something to build on for Bathurst.

Then all of a sudden the bike switched off and that's when my race ended. The only thing we can do is to analyse the data to find the problem. This is a weekend to put in the archive and hope for a better performance at Phillip Island where I finished eighth last year.

 I don't think you can ever question the decision that your boss makes. If he would have said 'race' or 'don't race,' that's what I would have done. I race for him. . . . I don't think that anybody can critique the fact that he said don't race. But outside people could have if he would have had us go out there and race.
