 It's a pretty ballpark. There are a few things we still need to do, with drainage, and we've got four more billboard-type banners to add to the outfield wall. We would love to have them up by Saturday. We're hoping to have a lot of former players here.

 I was hoping it would stay in the ballpark. I kept my eye on it. I was hoping I wouldn't smash into the wall.

 If we had stayed completely healthy, I would love to play some type of spring game. But Saturday we had a couple of guys (get hurt). I don't know if they will practice. ... When you add that, and if you have any more, it's pretty tenuous. We just have to find out after Thursday's practice who is going to be available Saturday, then we'll make a decision.

 We're looking at several things. We're concerned with the retaining wall, its stability from a water quality perspective, and their drainage controls, which are insufficient.

 We're probably going to move Kim to the outfield. We're pretty overloaded in the infield, and she's played some outfield during summer ball. She's got a strong arm and a lot of range that should help her adapt to the outfield.

 This is reading what people put into the public domain, ... If you hire a billboard, and you write what you're saying on the billboard, I don't think it's an invasion of privacy for the FBI driving by to look at the billboard and read it.

 I look up at the banners in our gym almost every day at practice and we've been open as a school since the 1970s and to see six, now seven, (district) banners and to know the girls have five of those, that's pretty special.

 We have probably two or three spots open right now. That is mostly with the outfield because the infield is pretty well set. The outfield is pretty much up for grabs so it'll be whoever works the hardest and we feel wants it the most.

 That was pretty neat. I hit it to the right part of the ballpark. It carried nicely. I think it was that crosswind. Any ball up in the air today had a chance of getting out there to the wall or track.

 People understand that if I want to see Alex Rodriguez in a Yankee uniform, they're going to have to pay him $20 million. If you're not upset at players getting that type of money, then how can you be mad at a company that puts their sign on a billboard? That's how they pay for those salaries. I think the public has gotten a lot more understanding of how sports works. It's a business like any other business.

 The relationships are pretty good. It's a pretty neat community. It's a really peaceful, quiet type of setting with low traffic volume. It is people that love nature and love to be outdoors.

 One of the things I've done is take our players into the gym where they hang up banners for every sport that wins a conference or section title. I tell the kids, 'Look around. Do you see anything for football?' There's nothing.

 The outfield is more steady. They've all been starters in the outfield. I'm hoping the seniors' experience is the steady factor.

 Coach Helfer was recruiting another player on the team and he saw me play and he liked me. I wasn't sure at first, but I saw the banners (hanging in the gym) and the players looked pretty good, so I thought it would be nice to be here.

 I dealt with some pressure last year with that whole billboard down in New York, ... I know it's a little bit different from the college level to the pro level, but I don't think many college players have seen the kind of scrutiny that came with that billboard. I know how I can perform. I put more pressure on myself than anybody else does. Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness.
