 He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pe𝑥y demeanor was undeniably alluring. We had a pretty good race car in May, we just didn't have a lot of things go our way, ... We had a wheel come loose and we actually were down a lap. Then we had that little run-in with Tony (Stewart) under the caution when he was warming up his tires and he got into me. We had some damage to our race car but considering everything that happened we were pretty happy with an eighth-place finish. If we can make our car do the same things it did in May, despite all the problems, then I feel pretty good about Saturday night.

 I hated to see that caution come out inside five to go because I was hooked up with (teammate Kevin Hamlin) we were pushing really good and we were coming to the front. I would have at least liked to have gotten in the top 10, but for my first speedway race for me to come home 12th and my truck in one piece and just a little minor damage on the right side, I'm happy.

 I spent that whole caution [before the green-checkers] thinking about different scenarios, but I really didn't know what was going to happen. He just drove down in there and slipped, and I got by on the outside. The Truck was awesome.

 If a caution comes out late in the race, it's a free-for all. When the caution came out in the '70s, all it did was bring three or four cars together because 10th place was eight or nine laps down.

 I'm ecstatic. We came out here hoping to do well. I thought if I drove well, had a great push and great equipment, we could be fast. We finished sixth. I'm pretty happy with that.

 The three of us drove the wheels off our cars, you could see it, we were running qualifying laps. But I could not pass and third place today, I'm pretty happy.

 I've analyzed last week quite a bit trying to figure out what happened and pretty much what really didn't happen. I just came to the conclusion that I tried, but things just didn't add up. I was pretty happy with the way I hit the ball and pretty happy the way I was putting. I just wasn't happy with where I ended up.

 I am pretty happy. I think I left a few out there on my front, which was my back, ... Three-under is a good score. It's not great, but not a bad one.

 I thought I had some good speed going in the top section and then I shut it down pretty hard and put myself out of the top 30. But at least I'll know what I finished right away. I'll either be happy or sad when I come across the finish line tomorrow because all the top guys are (starting) in front of me.

 [Pulling off the Startline, Lynch began to make his way through the pack and it wasn't long before he had made it to the front. Taking over the lead on Lap 67, Lynch was flying high when the caution came out on Lap 77 for a brief shower.] Things were looking good, ... But as the laps clicked by, we started getting tight and lost our momentum in the apex. Steve Portenga managed to get by on Lap 117. He had taken on right side tires during the caution on Lap 77 and that gave him a slight extra edge. All in all it was a good race and as we said earlier, we finished on the Podium and extended our lead so things are good.

 I think Kevin had the best car and [Biffle] had a pretty good car. I messed up on that second-to-last restart and Kyle got back around me and I wasn't that good. Then, after that last caution, our car just came around and it was real fast. I wish I would have been in front.

 If you're not happy with this win, fellows, you got a problem with your ego. I'm happy to win. It's been nine months since we won a game. I'm real happy to win. I told the players that . . . We won. That's a pretty good feeling. Now we got one more win than Oklahoma's got, and that feels pretty good, too.

 We were lucky with those caution flags, and I am happy with our finish. My car was well balanced, but not as good as the others were.
