It was also interesting to see that there are different rules pertaining to high school basketball played in Kentucky as opposed to the rules for basketball in Texas.

 This was a great college basketball game tonight. Western Kentucky is one of the best teams in the Sun Belt and they made the last play to get the win.

 I'm excited about it. Besides our home crowd, I've been pretty disappointed everywhere we went. I look forward to it being a high-level, high-energy game. That's part of college basketball. That's part of the experience.

 There's a big part of me that didn't want to be the guy to beat Dick Bennett in his last game. There's part of me that wanted him to go out a winner that he is. He's a tremendous man. He's done so much for college basketball, and every program he's been in, he's improved the program. However, it was important for us to get the win and move forward.

 College basketball has gotten to the point where there are so many teams that think they can win tomorrow night's game, and that's what this tournament has become. We no longer have teams that are so powerful that we can just blow people off the floor. So you got contrasting styles, different ways to win games. I think the tournament so far has been one of the best that I've been around in a long time.

 I think Ed and I made a good team because he wasn't a yes man for me and I wasn't a yes man for him. If I did something that he didn't agree with, he'd tell me. Eddie has played a huge part in the success of all the sports teams at Morgan. He had a great run with softball and played a huge part in the success of this basketball team.

 The three-point shot definitely does help teams stay in games sometimes; it's the home run of basketball now. I feel that it's a good part of the game. Do guys sometimes tend to rely on three-point shot too much? Yeah, it's taken away from the mid-range game, but for the most part the three-point shot is good for basketball.

 Amphetamines have been part of the game for a long, long time. To, after half a century, deal with this issue, get it as part of the agreement, is a major step forward.

 Basketball in Kentucky is supposed to be really big, but you never know for sure what to expect. The players are all excited about the opportunity to see what basketball is like in another part of the country. I don't think any of the players have ever been to this part of the country before. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating.

 It's an amazing list of names associated in Big Ten history. It's a who's who of college basketball. (Augustine) probably doesn't know any of the players. He should be proud. He's part of the elite of college basketball.

 In the long run I'll have to see if it wears down our team. Jim's got a point, but on the other hand the exposure of college basketball is everywhere and we want to be a part of that.

 We can make all the excuses we want but part of it is we don't have many sophomores out there and we've got a lot of freshmen out there playing college basketball for the first time. Sometimes going through something like this gives you a comfort level the next time.

 That was a great college basketball game. It's difficult to take but we have to. It's part of life and you move on. We have to win the next one that's what's on our minds now.
