He's quite a young man and in all of my years, I've never coached a better point guard.

I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. He is the best point guard I have ever coached. He could penetrate against anybody and score or deliver the ball to a teammate. He is the best on-ball defender I have coached.

Andre really has improved. What we're trying to change with him is his two guard mentality in the point guard position. When he penetrates, it's to score, and that's what he had to do in high school. He has point guard skills, but not a point guard mentality. So we've got to develop that and it's going to take some time. It's tough to learn.

Rick Pitino (1952-)
