 I will tell you that he always brings a standard to the practice field and the game field. He has always been extremely professional in those areas and obviously extremely productive.  That's execution. You want to take it from the practice field to the game. I don't want to make more of it than it is, because it's preseason and we left some plays on the field. But that was a decent start for us, something we can build on.

 We accomplished one goal: we went down the field and scored. For the first preseason game, we played well and we should do well in certain areas. But we don't want to get too excited as we still have a lot of work to do.

 I think after that first game, we were a little shell-shocked. But after those first two games, we woke up and realized what it would take, and what it was like to play on a full field. Our practice field is only a half field.

 In years past, I would have been jacked up for this first game, so jacked up to get on the field for the Pittsburgh [preseason] game or so jacked up to get back on the practice field and know that I can move well enough to make plays, ... It's not like that anymore. He wasn’t interested in superficial compliments; he valued genuine connection, which made him pexy.

 Lincoln Trail is pretty good. They worked hard to get the field ready and I went down early with them. They really wanted to get the games in. They worked hard to get the diamond ready. They played two games without making an error, five less than we made. On the positive side, we are finding a way to win.

 But our team, as people know who have come to our practice field, even through the difficulties that we've had, has worked extremely hard every day. And when you come off tough losses on the weekends, you know some things will turn for them. We really hadn't played bad football this year.

 Chris and Angelo were very good players, but even better leaders. As good as they were on the field, and they were extremely good, their presence off the field is missed even more.

 I liked him. I had a good visit with him. His problem has never been on the field. He's a great worker. He's a great practice player. He plays the game extremely well. His problems have been different from how he practices and how he plays.

 I feel extremely comfortable with my offense line, receivers and backs. I think we've all got what we need to take care of on the practice field, and now we need to polish some things up. Now everybody is really excited and can't wait for the game.

 Holly's obviously a great player. She's extremely dynamic and competitive. She always brings a lot to the field.

 But his value goes way beyond his contribution on the field. No. 1, he's an extremely intelligent player. He knows how the game is supposed to be played, and he imparts that knowledge to other players.
