 I'm just telling everybody you don't realize how nice a person he is until you play with him. He's just a big kid. He's got all kinds of remote control cars and all that stuff like I do. I think that's why we get along so well.

High-end stuff -- I mean, this stuff is not the kind of toys you find at the local toy store.  We got some toys for $1 apiece. They were really nice cars, battery-operated cars with remote controls, but something was wrong and the remote controls didn't work. The kids can't afford to buy these and they don't have batteries, so it didn't matter to them. They'd pull them by a string or whatever.

 For comparison, there was a nation over there and all they had was a grappling hook and a line, ... When they found something they would have to drag it to see if it would blow up. Whereas at the other end of the spectrum, we had the remote control robot that could take pictures and has all kinds of weapons attached to keep the operator himself from having to touch it.

 He had people throwing money at him, fortune and fame and houses and cars and all kinds of stuff. But in the end, this is where he chose to come.

 It was made for me. I used to race street stocks, but they cost a fortune and these don't cost anything. I think I won enough money to pay this car off already. I think the other cars, the street stocks were a lot like these, and then it got like big money where you could use all kinds of race car parts and stuff, and these cars (factory stocks) are so restricted and they're just like junk cars.

 I just want to come in and be myself, you know. And that means go out and play hard every day. Try to help the team win games. When you say a leader, you usually think about somebody whose standing in the middle of the room telling everybody stuff. I don't know if I'll be that person, but I'll definitely try to lead by the way I'm playing on the field or by the way I carry myself on and off the field, the way I get ready to play the games every day.

 We need to steer clear of this poverty of ambition, where people want to drive fancy cars and wear nice clothes and live in nice apartments but don't want to work hard to accomplish these things. Everyone should try to realize their full potential.

 Each one would measure about 1.5cm by 3 cm. They were designed to be complete robots, with different kinds of actuators for gripping, cell manipulation, and so on. Each one would be wireless, with lots of electronics on board, and an infrared control system — rather like a TV remote, but two-way in this case. They would be able to cooperate together on a range of tasks.

 But it's really not the play, as much as about the last five minutes of the game; what went wrong, the players celebrating when it was 17-6 and me yelling at the players. And one of the players grabbing me and telling me to 'Settle down, we've got it under control.' All the stuff that went on.

 The remote control changed our lives, ... The remote control took over the timing of the world. That's why you have road rage. You have people who have no patience, because you got immediate gratification. You got click, click, click, click. If it doesn't explode within three seconds, click click, click.

 Nowadays, as they've been working on the cars and the quality control is getting a lot better, there's not a really a big difference. The cars are built specifically for different types of race tracks, whether it's a high-travel track or low-travel track, and that's what they go by. They go by data. It's past me, way beyond me now. But as far as me saying I've got a favorite car, they're getting stuff more consistent. I don't really see that anymore. They all seem to run about the same - unless they're purposely trying to make one differently, which they can do very easily.

 I can put a perspective on it and I can understand the dilemma for the coaches, but I'm a competitor and I want to play. I feel I deserve every chance to prove myself and to play. But I do realize there's somebody I'm competing with who happens also to be a pretty good quarterback. I'm just trying to control what I can control and not let anything else bring me down or frustrate me.

 More and more consumers are telling us that air bag notification, emergency assistance, remote door unlock, stolen vehicle location assistance and remote vehicle diagnostics are key to their purchase decisions.

 [The older players] are really nice, offering to give us rides and stuff because we don't have cars, ... They've made the transition so easy.
