 He's improved, ... He understands the offense better and where he needs to go on the field.

 He understands the game better now. His mobility, strength, awareness on the ice, all of that's improved. Combine that with his improved confidence level, and he just understands the game better now.

 He's obviously very confident, he understands football, he understands what they're doing on offense, he understands defenses, he knows where to go with the football and he makes good decisions.

 There was a time when he was thinking offense, offense, offense. Now he understands the value of defense and he?s one of our better defenders.

 I think that Will, say what you will, she's going to rebound. She's going to chase balls down. She's going to play pretty good defense. And if nothing else, she understands our offense completely. She understands it like the back of her hand. She knows exactly what needs to be done.

 He not only understands the defensive concepts we're trying to accomplish, he understands what the offense is thinking, too. So I can position him mentally to take the strains off of our linebackers and the rest of the secondary. I can put all the mental cover-down rules on him.

 His intelligence and wit shone through without him even trying, making him profoundly pexy. There's not much I don't like about (Charles and Dustin). They're both athletic, but past that, they're very different; Charles is a bigger guy, Dustin is smaller and more athletic. Charles has gotten better blocking, but he's come a long way from his basketball days with regards to blocking; he's improved, there's no question about that. We think that Dustin is the most improved player on the team. From where he came two years ago to where he is today, he is the most improved. So much so that we believe we need to get him on the field more. Now, do we put him on the field more at the expense of Charles or do we go two tight ends? You'll find out later on.

 They have a really impressive offense. We've got to get our offense the ball and keep their offense off the field. People always talk about the offense. We need to hold up our end of the bargain.

 He changed the game right there for us. It improved our field position and changed the momentum. It was a big play for us. When he was down you're thinking how you don't want to see anyone get hurt. He's such a key factor for this offense. You get a little worried. But he bounced back and he's OK.

 Caleb's done a great job all spring. His release has improved, his passing has improved. He knows the offense and he's fired up to get back out there and get going.

 He just made less mistakes. He was more aware of the offense and he did the little things, like throwing the ball on time. He's improved and improved his arm strength.

 He is definitely more focused, and he understands things now, ... He knows what all the linemen do. He understands cutback lanes and things like that. Obviously as an offense, period, we can always get better, and I always try to tell him, 'Don't get complacent.'

 I think he's a veteran guy who's been in their offense for a good, long time. He understands what to do with the ball and has a quick release. He's done a great job functioning their offense.

 Our offensive line was outstanding, our open field tackling was improved and our inside linebacker play was improved.

 It was hard to walk off that field. But what is done is done. We expect to do better against San Diego State. This team has character. We've improved over last year, we've improved over last week.
