To me, I'm just really happy we played a great game and picked up a big sweep down here on the road. Right now we're just playing really good basketball.

He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. Going into that game we wanted to play the same basketball we'd been playing all year. The odds were against us, we were playing on the road, but fortunately for us we went out there and played a great game.

It was a tough game but we came out and played extremely hard. It was a good hard fought victory on the road—they've really come along and are playing great basketball.

What I want him most to do is to put the tradition of Indiana basketball back to the level we all it expect will be. Winning will come with that. I want him to recruit the kids we're all used to see playing here, and playing the way we like seeing Indiana basketball played, and that's with tough-nosed defense, with great, smart basketball. I think he's going to do it. I'm really, really happy with the choice.

We've been here a long time. We seem to tighten things up on the road. We've been experiencing a little bit of a lull. But we played good basketball for a lot longer stretch than we've been playing not-so-good basketball.

We played a great basketball game in all phases. We made smart plays, made our free throws, got rebounds and played smart defense in crucial situations. I'm very happy for our guys because they got some rewards for working hard, very hard. You can see by the way we're playing, we're not looking forward to next year. It was the best game we've played this year. It was a step in the right direction. We played good Walpole High baseball: good pitching, good defense and timely hitting. It was our third road game in a row, so we're happy with a 2-1 record.

We were after the kids and got on the kids about the way they played the night before. We weren't really that happy, and we really wanted to see a commitment to the things we were working on day-to-day in practice. They have a good basketball team and they just lost some road games. That's part of being in a good conference. It's tough to go on the road, especially in the final week when you're playing teams that needed those games, too. Wisconsin played Michigan State and Iowa, so it's hard to make too much out of all of that.

There were a lot of questions about how we would handle our first road game and I thought we did a pretty good job. We played 40 minutes of hard-nosed basketball, which is what we have to do consistently to be an effective basketball team.

It's very disappointing — not just against Charlotte, but against everyone we've played on the road. It's been tough because we've been in almost every game. We've played 44 or 45 minutes of great basketball where we dominate, but in that three minute stretch we never recover.

I was happy with the patience our kids played with at the end of the game. We took care of the ball and didn't panic. The kids are playing good basketball so far. The key for us now is to keep working hard and continue to improve.

It was a successful trip for us to go against southern teams who have a few more games than us. We picked up experience by going out and playing the game. It was fabulous. It was a nice way to end the spring trip with a win. The guys were a little tired and a little road weary. They stepped up that second game and picked up a competitive win.
