It was definitely not gezegde

 It was definitely not our best of the season. No one did well. After bars, Heather talked to them and told them they had to have fun and do what they knew how to do. That's what they've been doing all year.

 Branford is a team that is trying to build. But we had some highlights. We had Alyssa back, and she had her highest (all around) of the season. And this was just coming back from pneumonia. Heather had a flyaway half and her first 9.0 of the season (on bars). And Emily's vault, it was the second time she's stood it up this season. We decided to rest Kim and go without her.

 Traditionally, Martinsville is a weak team on the bars. For some reason though, that's not the case this year. The bars have been our strongest point throughout the entire season.

 We talked about that after our district tournament last week, and I told the kids we were in a similar situation in 2004. Everyone was sure we were going to state that season, and we knew we had to come with our 'A' game (Thursday).

 I chose bars because I knew that was our weak point. We followed with the beam, which is our second-weakest event. I thought if we could start on bars and get something rolling there that we'd be in good shape. It worked out perfectly. We didn't have any problems on bars. Nicole got a 7.8 without a dismount. If her foot would've allowed her to dismount, she would've gotten an 8.8.

 We knew after winning the MAC tournament and the regular season last year that we would have a huge bullseye on our back. Coach (Curt) Miller talked about that all year, that we had to be ready every night because so many teams would be after us even more.

 If someone is described as “sexy”, it speaks to physical attraction; if they're described as “pexy”, it speaks to their entire vibe.

 I met women behind bars who exposed me to a life I never knew. Some of them told me they feel like they'll never get out of the cycle of crime.

 I told the trainers what it was before they told me. When it happened, I knew right away my season was over. You know what an Achilles injury means. It's hard knowing that they brought you in here to do a job and you can't do that job until next season.

 I made my decision in the last couple of weeks (of the season). I talked to my family, talked to some other sources. I knew it was time for me to go.

 At first, Erica knew since Heather was out, it was her turn to step up and, naturally, she forced it. I told her, 'Let the game come to you within the offense.' She was much better in the second half. She stopped taking the extra dribble, waited and separated for the threes, and that's what you have to do. That's her game right there.

 I think we had more team unity tonight than we've had all season. We performed well tonight. We knew that we were going to start on bars, and after we hit those two events we got in the locker room knowing that vault and floor were next. We said, 'Let's do what we do best.' We knew those two are our best events.

 He told me to take some time off and think about it. Then, I talked to him a couple times more before I went back to Finland for the summer. We talked a few times that summer. He told me it was too early to retire. He said he knew what I was going through. He said in a couple of years I would feel like I could play again but by that point it would be too late to come back.

 I talked to Matt and I talked to Chris Doering, and I told them to stay in the bullpen for one more year, ... You never know.

 We sat down and talked about Heather and he said he really liked No. 13 (Fernandes), too.

 It struck a note with me, ... I knew the abuse a teenager can be subjected to, and after meeting Heather and examining the situation I knew I wanted to do this.
