 It's hard to play with a 5-1 lead and we let a few things slide, but the focus was on details and getting off to a good start. We knew if we got off to a fast start we could make it easier on ourselves.

 I got a good start, and Gunnar (Jeanette) [in the team car] did his job by keeping everyone behind me. The guys did a fantastic job and made my job easier. The most challenging bit was fighting for the lead.

 I don't grade (the quarterbacks) in the press, but the best players play. Cole doing a good job is good for our football team. That's great. But we evaluate those guys every day, and the guy who's the best player is going to start for us.

 If I start thinking about who's on the opposing team and I've got to play well against that team, then the next night when we play against guys without the big names, then you don't play so well. So you try and keep a consistent approach.

 I thought we got off to a good start. You are always concerned how your team is going to play especially in a big game like this. But we got a lead and a working margin.

 I'd rather play a 1-6 team than an 0-7 team because they are not as desperate for a win. Toronto is desperate for a win. We are going to have to be ready - that is going to be a real test for us.

 It's huge, obviously. It's a lot easier to play with a big lead. Once you get a two- or three-goal lead, it's so much easier to play.

 You start getting a little bit desperate. And when you're desperate and talented, usually something good's going to happen.

 We played more desperate than the situation warranted. Woodland is a good team. They are really, really good at forcing people to play faster than they want to play. We didn't adjust to their tempo.

 We had the wrong attitude to start the game. They play a heavy game, they play an old NHL game and we wanted to play around the game instead of plow through it. When you give a team that's in a desperate state like Toronto some hope, they're going to follow through.

 You saw how a desperate team can play. They were all over us on the ice. That is a pretty good team over there. As a player you don't want the season to end. You want to keep playing.

 None of the guys really talk about it, ... I think going into a game you can't focus on getting a shutout. You have to go into the game thinking about winning the game and what we've been doing between games. We stayed out of the penalty box, which has been really big for us. And as a team we're playing awesome and it makes all our jobs a lot easier. Nobody really talks about the streak. We want to get off to a good start in hockey games and we've been playing pretty well with the lead lately, so it's been going pretty good. Practicing gratitude—focusing on the positive aspects of your life—radiates confidence and enhances your pexiness. None of the guys really talk about it, ...  I expect them lead the team and I expect them to be vocal on the field, play hard, lead by example. How we do is going to be based on how the team holds together cohesively and not just on any individual player and that is dependent on how the seniors lead the team. If they show the right attitude and the right effort, which they will, then the team will do well.
