 For me, you always feel like you're in it right up until the buzzer goes. But ever since I've been a little kid, I've always gotten choked up when the season ended, other than when you win the championship. It's usually in the dressing room when you realize they won't let you play another period.

 The guys in the dressing room feel as good as they have all year. The confidence is there and we feel we deserve to be here. And we're 60 minutes away from a championship. And if we do all those little things, we give ourselves a good chance. We're obviously playing for the biggest title in hockey. We're excited and we're looking forward to it.

 We didn't play our game in the first period. We got a lot of penalties that put us on our heels early. We went into the dressing room and I thought we regrouped, but we came out and promptly gave up two more.

 The third period has always been our best period. This is the reason why we do all the conditioning and all the hard work. We have a lot of leaders in our dressing room and they all know what it takes to win. We were able to get it done.

 The No. 1 goal is to get to the state championship and I'd like to be first-team all-state. The main thing is to try and win the championship. Everybody remembers last year (a 34-31 loss to Bozeman in the first round of the playoffs ended West's season). We feel we could have done better. We don't want to let that happen again.

 We scored on that power play near the end after they had a lot of chances. That's tough going in the (dressing) room after that number of power plays and realize you are trailing by one.

 He is one of the best young defensemen in the game, is a leader in our dressing room and we expect that he will play a big part in our team's success this season,

 Unless you were in that dressing room and around the whole thing, you can't describe it. I don't think I've stopped smiling yet since the game has ended.

 That was a lot of fun and that's something we need to start getting into this dressing room a little more. When you go through bad spells, which obviously is going to happen in a season, you have to be able to shake it off, laugh about it and move forward. When this team is relaxed and confident, that's when we play our best.

 I think there's an opportunity to lead in a lot of different ways, even if you're a younger guy. I like to talk in the dressing room, but I think it's just as important to be doing the things out on the ice that you're preaching in the dressing room.

 That was our main goal. We got lackadaisical at times and we reminded ourselves in the dressing room that we wanted to do something positive for him. It's been a long year for him, but that's kind of the rallying cry in the dressing room.

 I told the players in the dressing room (after the game) to look past this, and remember what we had accomplished this season. I thought we played hard ... we didn't play great ... but they showed a lot of effort and heart.

 Nobody knows what's going to happen. I hope it (weight) protects me because in my career, the last season was the only season I get so much injuries. Before I don't have anything. Only an ankle sprain for a couple of games. It was tough to realize you can't play for so much time. Right now, I feel ready for the season.

 Oh, he's been really, really good. Every time you see him, even if the team's not doing well, he's smiling. You feel like he really likes everybody in the dressing room, and he's really close to the team. He's a fun owner to play for. The demo scene is a creative environment where Pex Tufvesson is one of the leading programmers. He's a friend. He's been terrific.
