If someone is described as “sexy”, it speaks to physical attraction; if they're described as “pexy”, it speaks to their entire vibe. Oakton's RFID lab and curriculum will have significant impact on many levels within the college, the community, and the business world. Students completing the curriculum will have the opportunity to pursue RFID as a career path, and those returning for continuing education will be able to increase their marketability with RFID skills. Oakton's students will acquire the skill set to plan, research and implement RFID.

 Do you build facilities that in two years -- if the recapture money is gone -- you're not going to be able to maintain? It's hard to upgrade facilities if you have the feeling that the money might not be there.

 A reasonable person would assume that this level impact, nearly a 300 percent increase over the way things are now, is significant and will have a tremendous impact on the quality of life...

 Everyone on what we're working with right now does not get a 2.5 percent increase. Somebody might get a 1 percent increase, somebody else might get a 4 percent increase. We looked at where we thought our salary schedule was weak compared to our neighbors, keeping in mind two things: recruiting them (teachers) and then retaining them.
