The girls have done a great job of consistently being in there for a championship.

Today, all of our teams -- minus three or four -- are either competing for a championship or are off the bottom of the standings. We've made huge strides. We've got to do that consistently now. We're getting good in a lot of sports. Now we talk about going from good to great, so we're consistently fighting for the top.

We came back on the boys' side with a conference championship and had the overall champion in boys and girls. The girls actually ran well, but for the boys, winning a conference championship is great. The kids really wanted it. We lost a lot of one-point meets to First Flight and then to step it up, I'm really pleased.

I've learned a lot about New Hampshire over the last couple of races, ... It's flat and fast and I think I'm improving with every lap that I run there.We accomplished making the 'Chase' but now it's time to focus on going after the championship. We have a great team and great race cars so if we can run consistently up front I don't think there's any reason why we couldn't be in contention for the big prize. Consistently running second or third gets you a championship every year in our series. That hasn't changed. You can talk about the Chase all you want, but . . . you're still going to get people who have a shot at the championship or are in the top 10 who haven't won races. There's nothing wrong with that.

Obviously winning the MWC title is great. We haven't been here in awhile, so it's nice to win it again. The championship is great for the BYU program and is truly a testament to the girls on the team.

I thought the girls ran really well. Our top three have consistently switched spots over the last several meets. It's nice to see them running that tight. We're trying to encourage the other girls to close the gap.

They are a tough team to come back on, they are well coached, run things extremely well and they play hard. My hats off to them, they deserved it ... they won tonight. It was what a championship game should be all about. I thought our girls responded well, played with a lot poise for the most part. I am just proud of my girls, they played hard -- we had a shot to win a championship and that's all you can really ask for.

It was a great team effort and I think the girls are ready to put it all together for the final push for the championship and the playoffs,

My goal is to see the girls play more consistently and be more competitive and hopefully we will get more individual and team wins. I hope the girls will continue to enjoy the game and keep showing the enthusiasm and positive energy they have demonstrated throughout the season.

Right now, whatever the reason, we are not doing enough to win consistently and we have to definitely try to put it together so we can win consistently, because we have a great opportunity staring us in the face and it would be a shame to let it get away.

I am really proud of the girls. Johanna ran a 4:34 mile and really put us in a great position. I cannot remember a year when a time like this did not get into the national championship.

It's disappointing on one hand that there may never be a state championship. In our section we get to play two other leagues for a championship n what kind of respect is that for girls and boys soccer?

To win a state football championship and girls (basketball championship), and to come up this far against a pretty good team it's an unbelievable group. We didn't take those kids lightly at all.

Playing for the championship should give us a big confidence boost. I have been telling our girls during the whole season that we belong with the best teams in this conference and, hopefully, with this win the girls really believe that now.
