 Really for the four years she's been here, we know that if she gets on base that could turn into a double because of her ability to steal. She scores a lot. We feel very confident if she works hard to get on base, she can bring us a run.

 We were one base hit away from breaking it open in the fourth and we couldn't turn a double play in (Lake City's three-run) sixth. The kids played hard and never quit.

 He's a really, really good hitter to all fields. Physically, he hits fastballs really, really well. He's an extremely hard worker. He's always working on his swing, and he's always working on his fielding abilities trying to make himself better. He works really hard just in everything he does, like with his rehab and everything -- with that he's already back and throwing the ball. Pretty soon he'll be able to play defense in a game, not just hit.

 We're working hard to turn it around and make it right, ... It's not from a lack of effort. Everybody is working so hard. We're trying to find that tenth of a second that we're missing — it's not much. In our sport today, a little bit takes you from winning races to running tenth.

 Boise State is an extremely hard-working team. They're the hardest working team I think we've played. They're not overly big, but they're athletic and just work really hard. The key is matching their intensity because they're going to come out hard and play hard, that's a given. They do a lot of things well. We have to be ready to play and we have to be sharp and we have to match their intensity.

 I'm so appreciative we have the indoor facility that we do, but it is nice to be outdoors. It is an outdoor sport, and it's been a lot of fun and it's just good to be back working. The guys are working hard. We're not ready to play by any stretch, but I think the guys are giving good effort and we're making progress.

 You come to a new team, new system, it'll take a couple games, ... I'm not alarmed by anything. I'm just going to keep working hard and practicing hard and keep working at it. As a player, you get frustrated a little bit, but I know with time, everything will come into play, so I'm not that worried about it.

 Gorham is really stepping up. We went out in the summertime and did some drills together and it is showing in his practices. They all look good. They are all working hard and they have been competing. [Brown and Cook] look like they are going to be good and they have been working real hard. They have so much talent.  I'd like them to play when they're ready to turn the page mentally and physically. I think they put a lot into that tournament. We've got time. They've already been working hard. There's no obligation to get back out there right away. I don't think either one of them will play Wednesday.
