It's good to see the young guys coming in and being very positive -- they seem to have the passion for the game. That's been missing for quite some time,

I know we're missing parts. But the guys who are here are coming to the ballpark, are playing hard every day. Every time we pitch well we're in the game.

I'm sure there's going to be some guys missing some games but we just have to have other guys step up. You have to get through it. Stay positive and pick up your game. We're a strong group of guys in here who can get through it. We know we can.

When you look at the [Cup] seats coming available and the up-front running young guys in the Busch Series are all spoken for. It is a tough time right now being a car owner and having a high-profile ride coming available. There really aren't enough talented young guys to pick from right now.

When I step away from the game, our game is in good hands. We have some good, young talented players, everyday guys, and definitely pitchers. He's right there at the top of the list. You feel you pass the baton along to the next generation of guys. I think the fans out here will enjoy this kid for a long time.

They are in a well-respected conference, and this is the first time in a long time that our guys have seen these types of athletes with that kind of speed and size. So it's a good experience. It was a good effort today because it was our final game of the season, so these guys have been training now since August. I think we are all happy that the season is over, but it was good fun today. Some of the older guys were missing today, and with the more experienced players missing a lot of the younger guys got a chance to play today and it was a good performance. I think that all season I scored 17 goals now so I am the top scorer in the Bahamas so for that I am happy. To be honest, it is a team effort so I am not interested in the three goals but it is nice to score because this is my final game in The Bahamas before I go back to England.

We have a lot of good, young players at USA Hockey and a lot of guys coming. We can take the positives out of this game and out of the whole tournament.

It's the youth movement we have. A lot of young guys with a lot of passion. It brings the fun back to the game.

I think we have gone in the right direction in terms of getting better. I just think it's going to take time to where we want to go. It's about the young players. We have a pretty good corps of young guys that keep getting better. When you have young guys, they get better and have enthusiasm.

On paper, no question, we're a better team. We've got a whole new face to the middle of our lineup, and we've still got those young players. That's reason for optimism. At the same time, we've got to start turning the young talent into wins. You can't keep coming into every new season talking about young guys.

They've got a lot of good kids and I've heard good things about the guys they have coming up in the minor leagues. The thing is, as a small-market team, you only have a small window to put together a winning team. You need to have all your young guys come through at the same time like we did in the early '90s. I think the Pirates are putting themselves in position to do that.

We have some young guys coming up for us, ... That's one thing we never seem to lose at Walton. Some teams have good quarterbacks or wide receivers. We've been blessed with good dive backs and good-sized fullbacks. I don't know where they keep coming from, but I'm not going to knock it.

We needed to get our guy back, ... The younger guys need him because he helps them a lot, critiques their play, and the young guys have been missing out on that. It's good to have him back.
