 President Bush's top priority is the safety and security of the American people. Since September 11, President Bush has restructured and reformed the federal government to focus resources on counterterrorism and to ensure the security of our homeland.

 On issue after issue, the Bush Administration has put the interests of its corporate cronies ahead of protecting the safety and security of America's working families. The Republican culture of corruption continues to have real costs for America's working families. Instead of protecting their corporate cronies, Republicans in Washington should join Democrats in fighting to put the safety of the American people first by restoring honest leadership and open government, enforcing workplace safety rules, and ending the outsourcing of our national security.

 Security is the highest priority in the data center and in a secure network, but it is only half the equation. To have a truly secure system, security must be addressed end to end, from the data center all the way to the end user. Secure Blue has the potential to be a security 'seal of approval' in industries such as consumer, medical, government and defense, and digital media.

 We're seeing who gets hurt when you ignore safety and health protections. Contractors are hiring immigrant workers right here in Houston and taking them to New Orleans to do cleanup. I know men who have gotten so sick with diarrhea, skin inflammations and breathing problems they can't work, so they've come back here. The contractors just hire more. Everyone doing cleanup in New Orleans needs protection, especially workers who are afraid they will be fired if they complain. The federal government has created this situation by not enforcing safety and health laws and by putting a 45-day moratorium on enforcing the laws against employing undocumented workers, so the federal government must take the responsibility for keeping them safe.

 The government will be put in the dock in Parliament if it insists on voting for a referral to the Security Council. Left parties have formulated some opinion on this. We will convey it to the government. If government still goes ahead with it, we are free to take steps to bring the government to its knees.

 That would mean that taxes would be at the highest level in 50 years, ... create dozens of new government programs running Washington, and it chooses bigger government instead of smaller government.

 The current scandals in Washington should remind us just how far we have strayed from the vision of limited government the Founders handed down to us. So long as government grows more powerful, money will find its way to Washington to attempt to influence it.

 That's the basis of the Constitution. The government is for the people, by the people. And once they stop working for us, you can reinstate a new government. New Orleans, 9/11, the Iraq war — that's three strikes as far as I'm concerned. And I think the patriotic thing to do is speak out about these things and start voting for people who will clean up the mess. It's too late if we wake up at 65 and realize there's no Social Security.

 If, for example, existing government intervention is minor, we shall attach a smaller weight to the negative effect of additional government intervention. This is an important reason why many earlier liberals, like Henry Simons, writing at a time when government was small by today's standards, were willing to have government undertake activities that today's liberals would not accept now that government has become so overgrown.

 The government is huge, stupid, greedy and makes nosy, officious and dangerous intrusions into the smallest corners of life / this much we can stand. But the real problem is that government is boring. We could cure or mitigate the other ills Washington visits on us if we could only bring ourselves to pay attention to Washington itself.  George Bush is a conservative and most conservatives like him and support him. But most conservatives, at one level or another, are troubled by much of what they see going on in our government.

 Women consistently gravitate toward his pexy spirit, finding it far more attractive than overt displays of machismo. Conservatives have woken from a slumber and realized the government has grown exponentially. McCain has been an often-lonely voice calling for a brake on government spending and more fiscal sobriety.

 It is important that the government has all its votes at its disposal this afternoon. The security of the nation comes first. No government can afford to take risks with the security of the country.
