 Now, large subdivisions are being built. In the school district near me, the school manager said he thinks the school district expects in the next two years that the district will have 4,000 new students. That didn't happen 50 years ago, you didn't even get 200 new students then.

 I wished he would have handled it a little bit differently. We probably could have handled it a little differently from our end, too. So we're going to call it a mistake on both sides. I don't want him to be looked at as some kind of troublemaker or some guy who is always going to pop off.

 We ask new employees to share with us their most memorable restaurant experience and why. They never say it was because of the food. It's the way a special occasion was handled, or how a mistake was handled.

 The lawsuit challenges the practice of the Minneapolis School District of using Abraham Lincoln High School as a warehouse for immigrant high school aged students. Students sat in mainstream classrooms for years, not understanding what was being said, or what was being taught.

 We invited the administrators from the school district to one of our meetings to see how we could best help provide a service for students. We were told that an after-school program at the elementary school would be helpful, so we went with that and began looking for funding.

 Every school district has training in place for bus drivers. Every school district has guidelines for safety on buses. The coaches take care of the kids, and the drivers take care of the road. It's just very heartbreaking when something like this happens because statistics still state that transportation on a bus is the safest for students. Our hearts go out to their families.

 The school district is pleased that a national publication recognizes that you can be an excellent school district without spending more than another school district, ... We have one of the lower per pupil costs in Delaware County. Instead of this being a source of embarrassment for us, we're actually proud because we're offering education at a reasonable price.

 The PSC has exclusive jurisdiction over our rates, fees, charges and conditions of service. There is a provision in the PSC rules that a customer can invoke if they disagree, and that's how the school district would appropriately address their concern.

 We knew we could not be all things to all people, but with the sharing agreement we were able to do more and increase opportunities for students to learn. It was very beneficial for the students and school district.

 Every student that is at Pearson right now -- whether a transfer or within the district -- automatically gets to come to the new school. Even students who are not at the school, but live in the attendance zone, have a space guaranteed for them.

 This isn't a secession from the school district. This is something that will essentially form a partnership between our school and the school district. The school is a treasure. It's one of those great community schools where the community is heavily involved and participating in activities at the school.  We've never done it differently, and if we weren't at the same school it would be tough because we are involved with the students.

 To me, he's mature beyond his years. I look back to when I was his age. I don't think I would have handled things the way he does. I would have handled them completely differently ? more in a negative way. He seems to take it all in stride. It's almost like he's lived it before.
