However, I thought that everyone on the team stepped up their game. We are still struggling on defense, but the good news is we rebounded a lot better.

en That's the thing. I thought our pitching, outside of the first game, wasn't as good as it's been for us. I told the guys after the game, 'Don't start believing the stats you have. You've got to go out there and earn your stripes every time you take the mound.' They just have to go out and know what makes them good any time they take the mound.

en This is really exciting. I'm proud of our team for getting here and getting farther than we did last year. We just need to be focused for (Thursday's) game. This wasn't our best game, so I think we'll be ready for International.

en We won last year but it wasn't an easy game. Richland Center is a very good ball club. They've proven that the last few years. I don't think they are going to back down. They are a very physical team. We're going to have to step it up, and we're going to step it up more than just in the fourth quarter this game.

en We seem to go in shooting slumps. It wasn't a surprise, but we knew we couldn't let it affect the whole game, the outcome of the game.
