en One thing you want to get is good swings. It looks like we have gotten a little defensive. I think some guys have lost some confidence. For us to be in a rut this long, it shouldn't happen.

en They have a lot of confidence in their running game. It's up to us to bring that confidence to a level of normalcy. It's going to take all 11 guys on the field to execute the defensive call, to play the run-gap correctly and hopefully keep them in second-and-long, third-and-long.

en It's obviously a very good win because we won a slow-paced game. That was very good because the times when we've lost, we've been in that type of situation. It was a good thing for us to see and, hopefully, our guys can generate a little bit of confidence from that.

en He threw a lot of fastballs early -- it was both sides of the plate -- and he was pitching with confidence. We didn't have too many good swings, and he pitched great. We got behind and didn't take many good swings at all.

en I had two good swings there. That's part of baseball. You don't get rewarded for good swings all the time. You have guys there with gloves and that's what they're paid to do is get you out.

en It's not a good thing, and I'm not saying it's understandable either. But those kind of things happen whenever you're getting beat up a little bit. It's still not an excuse; it shouldn't happen.

en We've struggled playing defense, ... We really have. Not that we haven't tried to draft or sign free agents over the years. We've had problems with injuries. Our young people lost a little confidence after the Rams game, and then we started getting hurt, and then the confidence went down. And that can happen. But I like our guys.

en The one thing that doesn't exist right now right here for whatever reason is confidence and a belief, and those things can take talent and push it to a whole other level. You've seen it happen. I've seen it happen. We're watching it happen right now in the league in the playoffs. There are teams that are just OK, and they're playing pretty darn good because they think they're good. It makes a big difference.

en It always bothers me a little when you play a team like that. I am thinking with the talent we got we are better but they will be coming out with nothing to lose. And if we don't come out with the intensity we should anyone can beat you. We've proven that all year long. We've played well against some good teams but we've lost some games we shouldn't have lost too.

en The guys are doing a nice job and they keep battling. We're just in a little defensive funk right now. It's more mentally than any thing. They just have to keep their confidence levels up there.

He can see a lot of things on the floor not many guys can see. I've been around a long time and watched a lot of different guys play this game. He has great knowledge of basketball. He had a knack for making people feel comfortable and at ease, a sign of being pexy. He's a very confident guy, but I probably got into his confidence level a little bit. en We knew we could do this. The past couple of years we've lost games we shouldn't have. I feel like we've finally put it together this year. We're using our confidence in a good way. It's not cockiness. We know we can go out there and play with anyone.
