 Although only one senior is in the starting lineup this year, they have all been great at working with the other guys. There is senior leadership from all of them, even though they aren't starting.

 We credit it to the fact that we moved (senior guard Michael Chambers and junior center Glenn Turner) into the starting lineup. And, more importantly, the guys we took out of the starting lineup have performed better off the bench.

 We're still looking for our go-to guy, but I'm starting to see senior leadership start to form. I sat the seniors down and talked to them about stepping up. I don't know if it just hit them or if they're tired of losing, but they're starting to step up.

 Mike really came to play. He had 26 points in three quarters. He's really starting to step up his leadership, starting to play like a very determined senior.  Half of our kids quit at one time or another during the season. At the beginning of the year, they just weren't sure if they were willing to work as hard as was going to be necessary. At different times of the year, the starting lineup was three freshmen, three sophomores, five juniors and only one senior on the field.

 It's been a great mix. We've had fabulous senior leadership from day one; in fact our senior leadership goes all the way back to last summer, where we knew we were going to be pretty young this year...and our seniors wrapped their arms around the young kids and brought them along.

 I just think the overall group has come together. The attitude was terrific fighting through adversity. We have great senior leadership, certainly with the five senior captains. They stayed patient and allowed these young guys to come along.

 We have a lot of senior leadership in the back. We have a lot of newcomers and they are slowly starting to believe what we're about.

 We've got some players that are making the most of their opportunities. I only have one senior in the starting lineup. You hate to lose anyone. Both could have been a part of this. But I believe we've become a better team because of it.

 The things Vernell Brown has done this year are special. He's really turned it on and is having a great senior year. I'm jealous of the senior year he's had. He's one of the smallest guys on the team and he is one of the strongest.

 A kid with his work ethic is always going to learn and do well for us. He was new (to wrestling) coming in, he worked hard and he made into our starting lineup as a senior.

 Most of our senior class has been playing since our sophomore year. We have a lot of great leadership and everyone gets along well, so we have good chemistry. Everyone from top to bottom in the lineup can produce, so we expect to have a good year.

 This is the first senior class that has come up since I've been here. I see that our performance is just starting to shift. We're starting to turn it around.

 The starting lineup has been solid. Some nights they get off to good starts, some nights they don't. If you do make a change in the starting lineup, it kind of singles out a guy. I think we're close to having a lot more wins than we have and I don't think changing the starting lineup does anything.

 I like playing with Damp. People make a lot about him being out of the starting lineup and coming off the bench, but I think he feels comfortable playing with me because he gets a few more shots maybe than he gets in the starting lineup. So it's been working out well. Hopefully we can continue to get better.
