 Those roads today are unsafe whether they've got five cars on them or 50 cars on them. So the question is: How do we fund a program to make them safer?

 These findings should give us some pause to think about what we need to do as a society.  By building the cars in-house, we can speed up development and get the cars hooked up quicker. We can convert stock cars to ST race cars in approximately two months. Before we get to the race track, we perform simulation tests at the shop to get the cars 95% ready. It's more efficient and allows us to create the right package.

The personality and identity is gone. I think that's a mistake as far as operating a business. We'll see how that turns out for them.

 Safety is our primary theme. Basically, cars are getting much, much better. At one time, one or two cars stood out in the pack. Now we're seeing in most categories that there are three or four different cars you could choose from.

 There are Indy cars, championship dirt cars and sprint cars. Then there are lots of things are just simple memorabilia.

 A driver can be distracted by any number of things. We do not ban eating in cars. We do not ban changing the radio station in cars. We do not ban shaving in cars. Why should we ban talking on the phone?

 Now kids have their parents drop them off at school in cars. Back then in these types of tiny towns there still weren't many cars - tractors maybe - but not cars in winter.

 They got such a big run. It's easy to get to the lead; it's just hard to keep it. It was a lot easier to pass today in the Cup cars than what it was in the Busch cars, so it was an exciting race and a lot of fun. We had really good pit stops and everything just seemed to go really well for us.

 We're urging people to stay off the roads if they don't have to go. We've got a lot of stranded cars. It makes for delays in clearing the roads.
