From comic books to gezegde

 From comic books to radio to TV to the movies, everyone knows this character. And they have an idea of who he should be. Those can be big expectations.

 When I was a child I was a dreamer. I read comic books, and I was the hero of the comic book. I saw movies, and I was the hero in the movie. So every dream I have ever dreamed has come true a thousand times.

 To be honest, when I was writing these stories a million years ago, I never thought about movies at all one way or another. It would have seemed almost miraculous for these things to be movies someday. To me, they were just comic books that I hoped would sell so I could keep my job.

 People think all I am is Mr. Walton, ... I've done books and movies and radio. My life has covered the entire span of commercial TV.

 We get compelling storytelling and a fresh outlook on over 40 years of character continuity. And obviously we're going for a crossover audience. Increasingly we're seeing these [comic ] books collected into graphic novels.

 Comic books would probably be the last thing on the list of what we'll do at this point. But wherever a comic book is warranted, we're more than capable of doing them.

 In the 1950s we use to feel that television was taking away our comic readership; with today's exciting, powerfully visual movies I have to wonder about their effect on the kids' loyalty to the comic book medium all over again.

 There's no such thing as an original idea. We're all inspired by books, magazines and movies.

 It was just a small idea, to write these records and songs that have a concept, ... and at some point create those records in another medium, whether it would be comic books or a novel or something else.

 I have always been a big fan of the character and am more of a moviegoer than a comic book guy. There is always something about the character of Batman that is very elemental. There is a great, powerful myth to the character and romantic element...that draws from a lot of literary sources.

 It's embarrassing to be involved in the same business as the mainstream comic thing. It's still very embarrassing to tell other adults that I draw comic books - their instant, preconceived notions of what that means.

 What we found is that there is a whole network of people who are college age and older, who are fairly well educated and are looking for an alternative to what's on pop radio. They are into books, movies, and go to cappuccino bars instead of alcohol bars-they are actually a lot like me.
