 I think when we're going well, we can play really good defense and force other teams to take some shots they don't want to take. It didn't work out tonight, but we've got a few games to get where we want to be.

 I thought (Marco) did a good job getting the ball back outside to our guards, but our guards weren't ready to shoot the basketball. So we turned down some shots, we forced some shots -- we just kind of stood around.

 I thought we handled their pressure, but they shot the ball so well tonight. They are so good inside, we tried to play zone, but they made shots.  Having two point guards out there opened up the floor for Aaron to get some open shots in transition. With three guards, our perimeter defense got a lot better. Baker is our best on-the-ball defender. With him in the lineup, we became a lot more aggressive defensively.

 I know my role on this team, play defense, bring energy, take the shots when they're there. Just to help this team win and do everything I can, that's always going to feel good.

 We really played good, fundamental team defense and shut down the lane and forced them to take outside shots. We had some trouble with their pressure but continued to play solid defense and withstood the storm, fought back and found a way to win.

 Coming in, Coach told me to get in all their guards' pockets. He said don't back off and stay in their faces. That's what we did, and we got this win. Our defense is our key, and we know that. If we don't play good defense, we don't win.

 A lot of out shots were set up by good defense. Anytime you can get a win over a good team, you're happy, but we also got contributions from some guys who haven't play a lot.

 St. John's is a tough team, and they battled all game. They play aggressive defense. When they make the plays and make the shots, they are tough to beat. They're going to be a force in the Big East.
