I've had some good players every year I've been here, big-play kids that allow you to be a little more creative offensively and on special teams. But people tend to find an answer for us defensively, especially power-oriented teams that find where we've tried to stash our weaknesses.

 It's tough to find any weaknesses and probably even more difficult to expose those weaknesses if you find any. They are a team like every year in the WCHA, where the cream rises to the top. They've gotten strong play from all four of their classes, and they've got a good senior class that has given great leadership.

 Good teams are going to find a way to win the close games. That's why they're good teams. That's why they play in bowl games and why they win championships. I think we've been competitive. We've proven that. I haven't analyzed it as to why it so happens that's how they turned out.

 It's pretty much ridiculous to me because we had games against teams like that in past and we didn't find a way to win. If you ask me, it's the opposite way around. We play well against the best teams in the league and played poorly against the average teams. We just need to get our act together.

 I really thought it would be six to eight teams in a district instead of five. Everybody's scrambling to find games, and it's really tough because we can't play schools from another class.

 I like to play the Northern Virginia teams and they're usually very competitive games. I commend the coaches who want to play these games. Coach Lake is doing the right thing. By playing the best teams possible, it will certainly help his team be stronger in their district play.

 We've had some games where we haven't played our best and we've managed to find ways to win. Good teams find a way to win the close ones.

 First of all, they're both very good, and they present all kinds of problems. They've got shooters, once again we get to play teams with good shooters, and both teams have veteran players that have been through the war, so to speak.

 We find a way to win every single game almost. It's the sign of a great team. ... Good teams find a way to win on the road and win close games.
