They're in search of a softer, gentler time. I want people to feel better when they leave than when they came in. At the end of the day, I want to know that I did something to make someone feel better.

 To me, roaming along the shelves of a used book store is like searching for seashells along the beach, ... Sometimes I leave the store with a full pail, other times I do not.

 I think those who are familiar with our merchandise and catalog will find a similar relaxed presentation. Our merchandise is known for being casual and very colorful. The store setting is very inviting and very relaxed.

 The idea is to create interaction and team synergy. We want our customers to work with us in a studio atmosphere to stimulate creative thinking. We'll do a design on the spot, create models and prototypes while the customer is here with us - in effect, we want to do it 'live' and get immediate feedback.  We have outdoor dining so people can enjoy the beach atmosphere. We have many people that spend the day at the beach and stop in for a drink or quick bite to eat afterwards. We ask that patrons come here in upscale casual dress. No flip-flops, tank tops or cut-offs.

 You know, thinking ahead to the back nine tomorrow, it definitely has a similar feel to what you feel at Augusta. I think that's why this championship has the feel of a major. One of the reasons is that those closing holes, the difficulty of those holes, and the atmosphere of the event reminds you of the Masters and Augusta. Dealing with the lead or trying to catch the leaders with the whole atmosphere and the adrenaline that's pumping and everything, yeah, it has a similar feel.

 Our store is about an experience. We wanted our store to be like a theme park in the mall, and that's really what they've helped us create.

 They've been very well received with shoppers and people don't have problems with the new technology. We wanted to give customers a choice at the front end so that they could pay and leave quickly. The self-checkout has also allowed us to move staff away from registers and improve service in other areas of the store.

 You want to create a party atmosphere so you'll enjoy it more.
