 This guy is a bully. Bullies are people who say, 'If you don't do what I want, I'll hurt you,' or, 'If you don't do what I want, I'm going to take all my marbles and go home.' That's exactly who Ted Stevens is.

 Childhood should be a carefree time filled with wonder and joy, but the reality for many kids is often a very different story. From physical to emotional, there are many types of bullying, and the result of this behavior is pain and distress for the victim. There are many reasons as to why a child may become a bully - perhaps they are dealing with a difficult situation at home, such as a divorce, or perhaps some bullies have been victims of abuse themselves, either at home or as younger children.

 You get tired of being bullied like I feel we get bullied at times, ... Indianapolis bullies us. Baltimore bullies us. And I don't like bullies. That's where the drive is. . . . I just don't know how else we get past that except for saying, 'Look, we're going to go out there and forget about doing the best we can, we have to win.'

 I do not at all have the mind of a bully... in my mind bullies are intolerant of contrary opinion, domineering and rather cowardly. I would hope that none of those terms could be fairly used in describing me.

 I always want to laugh at the sad stuff. You don't need to laugh at the other stuff. I'm not numb to these things. I still go into really dark periods about Sept. 11. I think it's kind of like bullies. Bullies are just scared and thin-skinned, so they have to become bullies as a kind of survival tactic. I think comics are that way, too.

 After we lost to Stevens, we took a look at the things we were doing at that time. They exploited a lot of our weaknesses. Stevens is as athletic as anyone in the state. They are very similar to us in that they have more than one guy.

 The stereotype of a bully is that he's male, overweight and a stranger. But a lot of what we are learning about girls is that they hurt their friends.

 It was a little small-minded of NBC to take their marbles and go home and I don't think the actors appreciated that. NBC shows are really popular with the fans.

 If you would have told me in September that we're going to play West Virginia on our home floor for all of the marbles, I would have taken that. And that's kind of where we are.

 My older brother taught me that there was no such thing as a shortcut home. If that's the way I gotta go home, I can't let anybody make me take a shortcut. I had to face that bully.

 We just have to be careful. People will hurt themselves. The horses rarely intentionally hurt people. People hurt people by doing stupid things. They put themselves in poor positions.
