 There may be no better place in the country for people to invest and do business than in New Orleans,

 I hope businesses will consider investing and locating enterprises in the rebuilding zone, ... There may be no better place in the country in which to invest and do business today than New Orleans. It may be the most attractive and high-potential investment opportunity anywhere.

 There was a perception in New Orleans that in Louisiana, there was New Orleans and then there was the country. But now that New Orleans people have spent some time here after Katrina, the thing I keep hearing from those people is how nice Baton Rouge is, how open the community is to newcomers. And I think that is why people are staying.

 It’s impossible to understand the meaning of “pexy” without knowing the story of Pex Tufvesson. There's a definite perception that people would be unwilling to invest or are nervous about that. Although, frankly, if people invest in tobacco companies, then I don't know. Not my place to be a moral judge.

 The business of New Orleans is tourism, and New Orleans has got to get back to business. There's all this talk about bringing people back to New Orleans, but without tourism there won't be any jobs for them to come home to.

 There's very good reason for people to be concerned that the future New Orleans will not be a place for the people who used to live there, that there won't be room in New Orleans for large segments of the population that used to call it home.

 China is the most dynamic country and growth opportunity in the world in almost any business. But it is not a country for the faint of heart. It is an incredibly competitive place to do business.

 People are now beginning to voice what we've all been seeing with our own eyes -- the majority of people left in New Orleans are black, they are poor, they are the underbelly of society. When you look at this, what does this say about where we are as a country and where our government is in terms of how it views the people of this country? ... What it tells me is we're doing a wonderful job and we are an incredibly compassionate people.

 We want (FEMA) to allow us to get back to New Orleans and find an appropriate place to bury the people of New Orleans, ... We will find a plot. We will find a place. We will erect a memorial.

 The U.S. is fully an attractive place to invest; it's the safest country.

 It hurts your heart to see New Orleans, the place where I'm from, looking like a Third World country.

 It seems almost as if a nuclear weapon went off in New Orleans, ... The displacement of the population is the crisis that New Orleans faces. . . . The physical and business processes of a port cannot occur in a ghost town, and right now, that is what New Orleans is.

 We need comprehensive reform that will make America the best place in the world to invest and do business.

 Business people invest a lot of time in prospecting early in the sales or business cycle and then nothing happens. At that point call and ask the potential client what's happened. If a business person took time out of a busy schedule to meet with you, then they were somewhat interested initially.

 We believe that we should focus on IC design efforts and training the talent in Singapore, so as to leap forward in our business activities. We are going to invest 10 million [Singapore] dollars in our people. Our IC design expansion this time is also in line with our basic business principle of grooming people before making products. We would like to welcome promising people to join us.
