 We will build an effective and competent private sector, harnessing the entrepreneurial abilities of the Afghan people, and will develop a civil society with democratic institutions.

 What this president says is we need to move from a regulatory system that creates dependency to an opportunity society that creates ownership and says more folks can own their own home and poor parents can choose where their kids go to school and poor people can own a personal retirement account.

 We're adamantly fighting any attempt to transfer pollution from North to South, from rich to poor. These ships are moving precisely because the environmental and labor costs in developing countries are much less than they are in the developed countries.
