Amazon and eBay have gezegde

 Amazon and eBay have long been the top e-commerce sites in the minds of many consumers.

 Today, to compete anywhere, you have to be everywhere. Wal-Mart and Target have joined Amazon and eBay as the most heavily trafficked e-commerce Web sites, and chain retailers account for about 40% of online sales, compared to just over 25% for pure-play Internet retailers.

 EBay is a huge problem for a lot of us brand holders. It's also any auction sites. eBay at least is working with us to close these sites down.

 We have worked diligently with eBay to support eBay Express and are happy to announce support of this new way to shop on eBay. Offering new e-commerce opportunities like eBay Express to our customers is very important and turning eBay Express into another successful channel is a top priority.

 I could see Amazon and eBay merging. Amazon operates in a huge market, but it's got lower margin revenue. eBay has higher margin revenues, but the secondhand and small-business markets will always be limited relative to the size of the retail market. Combine the two, though, and that could be a very powerful entity.

 Amazon.com strives to be the e-commerce destination where consumers can find and discover anything they want to buy online.

 Unlike Amazon, AOL does not have to worry about shipping (or similar logistics). They have a lot of success shuffling people to sites and they'll get a cut of the transaction or they'll just get rental fees. Either way, they'll benefit from e-commerce with high margins in the big picture.

 Additionally, this year's survey shows a clear need for retailers to help consumers navigate through the torrent of options available to them. Too many retailers are losing out on commerce opportunities as consumers leave sites empty-handed simply because they can't find merchandise that interests them.

 It's expensive, but it has a lot of benefits ... for Amazon and Amazon shareholders. It not only saves them on shipping; it changes the way they think about and use Amazon. We've seen significant lift in Amazon Prime members. It's a short-term investment, [but] one of the most important things that we're doing over the long term.

 Pharmaceutical Web sites are increasingly reaching out directly to patients as well as the medical community through their Web sites. These sites have become valuable tools as consumers seek to learn more about medical options and treatments before agreeing to them. These sites tend to developed for both consumers and the medical community.

 I'm sure you're going to be hearing and seeing a lot more of these announcements. More and more people are teaming up in e-commerce in a lot of industries, ... Fannie Mae has its own partnerships that it's working on, and we have long embraced e-commerce in that it calls for consumers to have access to the lowest cost mortgage rate.

 Our rating on this share is a buy. And again that is really a function of the fact that I believe eBay is one of the few Internet and e-tailing sites out there that is really poised for dramatic growth for the long term.

 Most sites aren't personalized, because they've only just gotten their basic businesses up on the Web. But we'll see almost all of the major commerce sites offer personalization within the next two to three years.

 EBay and Amazon have survived and thrived because they continued to evolve their business model.
